This has been miserable. We bought over a year ago. Total nightmare, we paid $20,000 for this piece of crap. ""Nothing runs like a Trane"". I'm being completely honest. I have been nothing but suckered on this BS. I'm ripping the damn system out, defaulting on my loan and screw these a-holes. My wife is home alone and has medical issues. She can't take this. I also have two Siberian Huskies they can't survive like this. I've paid way too much for nothing but bullshit. Don't do pro-tech and don't do Trane. What an f'ing nightmare. Kiss my a$$ pro-tech. You haven't supported at all and only wasted my time and money. I'll be getting help and replacing this piece of crap.

I had Pro-Tech HVAC once again come in to work on my Trane AC in my condo apartment in 2022. I tried to delay paying them for my annual maintenance, but my ""float valve"" kept shutting off the AC, so on August 2nd, 2022, I called them, and they showed up early on August 4th, 2022. They were amazing, as always. Their tech (I forgot his name - Jay something) was great, and cleared the lines, and checked the compressor on my roof.
Many people say "" oh - Pro-Tech - they are so expensive"" - I really don't care. I am not rich, but I know that when you hire QUALITY PEOPLE instead of loser discount people - you get what you pay for. And Pro-Tech is ALL quality. They are amazing. I am freezing right now, because of ProTech in the middle of 95 degree weather in Florida. They NEVER make mistakes. They are great, and they are worth every penny. For the morons that say ""I could have paid 50 dollars less"" - then you get 50 dollars less, and your HVAC breaks in a few months, and then you pay all over again (or write a bad review about that company). You hire the best - and you get the best - and Pro-Tech is the best

I feel totally ripped off. I was charged nearly $400 dollars for maybe 15 minutes of actual work to clear a shower drain. That is ridiculous. To a re-peat customer no less! Part of it is on me, I should have compared prices with others (I could have gotten a handyman to do it for under $100). But, having used them before I figured I would be treated fairly and not overcharged - BIG mistake!

The best service I have ever had. From the first moment they were the most professional, best organized and did an amazing job. and the pricing was fair. It would be so great if more companies would be as professional and reliable.
I had several companies out at the property to give me an estimate, everybody was talking about the difficult job and so on. But nobody else made me feel that they could honestly handle the job and knew exactly what they were doing.
I can't praise Pro-tech enough, simply one of the very best.

This week We used Pro-Tech for a plumbing job and an AC job. We had them repipe our house, replacing all the polybutylene pipes. The four Pro-Tech plumbers completed the entire house in only one day!! They then sent a man to repair all the dry wall holes, and he did a fantastic job. Today one of the plumbers came back and had to disconnect the water heater and move it in order to patch the hole behind it. We are very happy with the whole process.

The AC problem was a clogged drain line. It was quickly unclogged by the technician.

We have been using Pro-Tech for more than 15 years at two residences, and we will continue to.

Purchased a brand new AC unit less than a year ago from Pro-Tech. Shortly thereafter, they told me that I needed all new duct work so we went a head and purchased that from them, as well. Less than a year later, we are sitting in a 90 degree house with no AC because the unit failed. I understand that things can happen but they didn't offer to bring a portable unit or anything. By the way, our unit plus new duct system cost $14k and doesn't work well even when it is running. I am very disappointed with them.

Back on July 6 I had my HVAC system replaced with a new Trane 5 ton unit. Since the install I have had ongoing issues and multiple technicians come out to try and get my unit working properly. Here I am on July 28 with still ongoing issues. The last 2 times I was supposed to have technicians out, 1 time they gave a 3 hrs window to arrive. No call or update. Called at the end of the window stating the tech was running behind. They finally showed up well outside the window they gave me at night. Today I was supposed to have another tech out. Given the 3 he window. No call and no show. I called at the end of the window again and said something happened with the call and no one was dispatched out and they couldn't have anyone out. Like most people both my wife and I work and can't have anyone out till Monday if they decide to show up. Pro-Tech was certainly not the cheapest but they stressed their detail to quality work and on call tech support 24/7. It sure sounded nice initially but what good is it if you keep having one tech after another after another look at the system say this is the problem and should be okay now. I have now wasted 4 evenings trying to get my AC finished with no avail. I hope I am an anomaly and others don't suffer the same fate but to say this entire install has been horrible is an understatement.

We called Pro Tech Air Conditioning and Plumbing Serv. to perform maintenance service on our air Conditioner. (Mind you, nothing wrong with the Unit, only a preventive service call) The technician came in, look at the inside unit and check the thermostat. He then, preceded to look at the Unit outside, and can back inside and told us that there was a weak capacitor that needed to be replaced. We of course, told him that if it needed repair, to go ahead and replace it. He informed us that the cost of the part was $360.00. My husband said that the cost was outrageous, that he has worked on electronics all his life and there was no way that a capacitor would cost that much. My husband asked the tech for the box of the replacement part and look it up on the web and the cost of the part is $42.00. He told the technician about what he found out on the web, and actually showed it to him and the tech. said that he had no control over prices; that was the price that his company showed. We called that company and expressed our disappointment, and told them that this was the last time we would be using their services... They offered no apologies, the only thing they could say was that the price was that, because they needed it to be properly installed. On their website they advertise that "" with a maintenance contract you get discounted replacement parts""... (Do not used this company, the are scammers.

Everything was good until they sold me a thermostat for 352.00 that is worth maybe 150.00, they didn't showed me if the previous one was not working, they just installed and gave me the bill. The technician should show us what was wrong with the previous thermostat and ask us if we were interested on 352.00 dollar thermostat.

Definitely not calling them again!
