Equipment failed and they would not honor the warranty! Beware the installation warranty is only good for 30 days...

This company has deceptive sales agents and then they hide behind their FINE print... when you want a refund... stay AWAY....!!!

I highly recommend privacy electronics for all your surveillance and counter surveillance needs.
I own A restaurant in Pinellas park and I decided to use privacy electronics and install a camera system. I have a 14 camera system which can record for about 3-4 weeks on my DVR. I had a break in into the back gate of my restaurant and some equipment stolen last month. Thanks to privacy electronics Pinellas park police was able to identify the thief and arrested him. It really gives me peace of mind knowing what is going on in my business when I'm not there.

When you walk in this place you almost feel a bit like James Bond. It's like a Sharper Image or Brookstone for clandestine work. They have ever type of surveillance option that you can think of, and all of their stuff is top of the line with the latest tech. Some of the products can be pricey (knocking off a star), but what do you expect when you're hiding an HD camera in a thumb drive that records hours of video at a time. It's not like that comes cheap. The service here is good, and the people that run the place are really nice to work with.

We purchased a home security system from these people and like another reviewer said there was no hard drive installed. We called and he said that that was an additional cost. We asked why would you sell a camera that does not record? No response, no compromise so we decided to take it to another camera place and paid an additional $75, and have it record for 30days. I did not enjoy the owners harsh policies, just give the customer a chance to explain and work things out. Anyway, do your research and try to stay away from this one!

We were really disappointed with our experience here. Sure they have a good selection of products but talk about over priced! We were shopping for a home serveillance system and their prices were crazy. We ended up going somewhere else and got what they quoted as a $1200 system for $400 and that included an extra 2 cameras.
Nice people but they must cater to businesses cause their prices sure don't deliver to the everyday user.

We spent almost $2K at Privacy Electronics on a new DVR to replace an existing DVR in our home security system. Michael Peros, owner and technician, was unable to demonstrate that the system would work. It would NOT replay events. The recorder would not record. Michael Peros would not give us a refund because ""All Sales are Final"". He fabricated a statement that I supposedly signed with my satisfaction of his service. He stated that our issue was a ""network problem"" and gave me a phone number for tech support so I could figure it out myself (!), but we later found out that Michael Peros sold us an EMPTY BOX. The DVR had no hard drive! This guy is a crook. Also has criminal background (see Clerk of the Court, Pinellas County,FL). Cannot substantiate his website claims of Israeli Mossad, etc. training. Not to be trusted.
