Gary Pritchard and his team are amazing! My husband and I needed our electrical panel replaced after a contractor botched part of our kitchen remodel, leaving us with electrical issues and without a working oven. I called seven companies for bids; Gary came to our house the same day and had a quote for us the following morning. He had the best price, almost 50% less than other competitors!

Once we approved the estimate, he immediately got the permit and scheduled us for the following week. The morning of the panel replacement he called us before arriving to make sure we were ready to start (so considerate!) He and his crew (Jeremy and Jerry) arrived on time and got right to work. They were professional, friendly, courteous and patient. They arrived at 8am, along with Austin Energy (to shutdown power), and by 3:40pm, they had installed a new AE approved meter can and a 125 amp main breaker service panel (w/required breakers). The inspector who arrived was both friendly and efficient and the power was back on before 4pm.

Jeremy took a look at my new oven and tested it to make sure it was working properly, and Jerry was happy to answer my questions. Both of them are outstanding! I also have to mention Brenda, who took care of scheduling the job, answering my questions about permits and handling payment; she was so friendly and funny and made everything easy. This must be an amazing company to work for, because all the staff are happy and work like a well oiled machine. I can't recommend them enough!!!

If you need any electrical work done, give them a call. It is worth it to hire a master electrician with a professional, competent team. A lot of unlicensed people are doing work they shouldn't, and not being truthful about required permits. They can really make a mess and leave you in a dangerous situation. This happened to my husband and I, hence our need to call Gary. He provided his license number, opened the necessary permit, made sure everything was done to code, and was still affordable. The best part is we know the work was done right, and now we can cook in our oven for the holidays!!! Thanks Gary, Jeremy, Jerry and Brenda!!!!

I wish I could give a higher rating because both guys that I worked with were nice guys, but I just can't give anything higher.

I called Pritchard to take care of an issue I was having with one breaker that kept tripping during storms. They told me that there were so many problems with the electrical system not being to code that I'd be better off replacing the entire panel, meter, mast, and meter loop. I wasn't too excited about the $2200 upgrade, but I knew the service was old and was willing to take their advice.

Problem #1: On the phone call and when the electrician showed up, there was no mention that I'd have to pay $90 for an estimate. After the estimate was complete, he told me I needed to write him a check for his time (maybe 20 min). I believe in paying people for their time, but to give no notice ahead of time is a little shady. I have had several other electricians over for other issues and none charged for an estimate.

Problem #2: The work was completed and everything seemed fine. Then comes the first storm and the same breaker tripped, which was our original issue. I write Gary, explain that the original issue is still a problem and he writes me back with a single sentence:
""What do you want me to do about?""

At this point, it was pretty obvious that there was no interest in helping us solve the problem we originally called them about. I wrote back saying I don't EXPECT anything for free, I'd just like some advice on why the full panel replacement that they recommended had no effect.

I called Pritchard to ask about the 2 hour charge. The office staff spoke with Gary, the owner, and he refunded me for one hour of service. I really appreciate them calling me back and working this out. I will probably use them again.

Called 5 electricians to get quotes on my electrical panel. I had an inspector tell me that I had multiple double taps (neutral) into one port. Gary returned the call and gave best quote. Within 72 hours, Gary came out and fixed the problem. There were other issues he found and fixed it as well. Gary was on time as promised and was very honest and pleasant person to work with. I will definitely call him for other electrical work needed on my new home!

The service man that came out was very personable. He worked quickly and made some suggestions to help out.

We moved into a new house and seems like the on the front of the garage was working intermittently. It turns out that was the switch we thought operated some outlet in the garage.... I thought both outside lights were on the same switch. I was wrong. Sometimes being an idiot is expensive, lol.

This was a very small job, but they were very professional and courteous, both on the phone and during the visit. I was only charged for the service fee of $89 for coming out. I put up some new lights out on the garage (figuring it may be the actual light fixture before calling in the pros) - he double checked my wireing while he was diagnosing the problem and all looked good. Also the switch hadn't grounded properly.

I will be using them again in the future for any electrical needs that arise.

We've used Pritchard Electric twice now. The first time was more precautionary, some wiring in a home we bought that we didn't understand. The electrician verified it was safe and correct and explained how to make the changes we wanted to make on our own, essentially charging us for just the service call since we could do the actual work (outlet/switch replacement). The second time was to install a vent fan in the bathroom, which needed electrical run to the fan and a second switch in the wall. They showed up on time, worked straight through, did a great job and were clear about the charges up front (and at a great hourly rate). We've got a project identified for a condo we own and will be going to them for it, as well.... can't say enough good things. On time, quality work, great communication. Trifecta!

I can't comment on the quality of Gary's work but I can say that he seems like a stand up guy. I called him one day to describe some work I thought I needed. He explained that I had misdiagnosed the problem, then told me how to fix it myself with parts available at Home Depot, saving me over $100. I really appreciated his honesty. Seems like a very down to earth guy.

Gary Pritchard came out today to fix the light in my kitchen and did a great job. When I described the problem over the phone, he knew exactly what it was. He came on time, did quick and professional work.
