I called Ian and told him we had an electrical fire on our outside lights. He was concerned that we might be scared so he offered to come after hours. We let her m know we were fine, so we scheduled an appt. He quoted us $650.00 and came to our home. After he finished he said a piece he thought was burned was not and it would only be $325.00. We know nothing about electrical issues and he could have easily gotten the $650.00. Not only did he do a great job and fix the issue, he renewed our confidence in the goodness of most human beings! We won't ever use anyone except Upstate Electrical. Ian is a gem!

Tried to get a quote for a small job. Provided broad strokes of what I need done and Ian asked to speak with me. I provided my availability to speak on the phone and he fell off the face of the earth. If Ian can't figure out how to call WHEN HE WANTED TO SPEAK ON THE PHONE, how could anyone trust him to do a job well?

I have had two experiences with Ian. The power in my house was flickering and I called Ian and described the problem. He suggested that I call the power utility since he thought that the problem was not in my house's breakers/circuits. He was right and his experience honesty saved me the expense of a house call. The second time I needed him he came out right away and fixed the 3 issues that I had and charged a very reasonable price. He and his assistant couldn't have been nicer.
