JP is always super easy to get a hold of. Does a pretty good job of getting tasks done on time. When we did have a communication error with timing of a project he was quick too get back to me and make a new reasonable plan to get things done. He was super helpful with all my annoying, new homeowner, DIYer BS. Plus the guys that work with him are very kind and did good work.

I can't say anything about his quality of work but has zero integrity. Promised to do work on a home in TAHOE Donner in escrow. We spoke on a Friday and said ""no problem,I'll get it done on Monday . My realtor calls us on vacation and says he hasn't made contact with him as promised. I called him and he said ""sorry can't do it"". He has delayed an escrow by weeks now. Maybe falls out of escrow too. He didn't care.
TAHOE/Truckee business mentality. ""Thanks for Nothing Prince!""

As an 1500 mile away out-of-state owner of a Condo at Northstar, we were struggling to get anyone to repond to some issues regarding a 20+ year old bath vent fan and wall mounted radiant heater. Found Prince Electric (JP) on this site and he agreed to go out and take a look. Was able to order parts to repair the fan and found the heater was a simple loose wire issue. JP responded timely, kept us informed via email/text messages of the project, and charged a very fair price for the two on site visits and the time to source the parts and install. Highly recommend JP and his firm.

I asked my tenant to find a local electrician because the power went out in the bathroom. JP called me to get my approval to come out & give me an estimate for the work. I did OK it and I specifically told him please give me the estimates first before I approve the work to be done. He called me a short while later & said the problem is fixed. And when I asked him what was the problem he said GFI circuit was tripped. In other words there was no electrical problem. All it had to be done was to push a Red button to reset the circuit breaker.

He went ahead and charged me $125 for fixing the so-called problem. He absolutely did not mention a word about upfront charges or minimum charge when he called to get authorization. I feel like I was cheated; had he made it clear to me that he would be charging me $125 just to come out I would have hired other contractors who give free estimates or I would have made other arrangements. He was not straightforward from the beginning and when I asked him why he did not tell me about upfront charges, he said it is not his responsibility to tell the customers and that it is customer's responsibility to ask.
I would not recommend this guy, cuz he is not straightforward and honest.

I had no idea how much lighting could improve my home - JP had wonderful suggestions, and he and Michael worked hard and completed the job faster than expected. They also were quick to problem solve as things came up with the other work I was having done, and as a result, they made the entire process go smoothly with the other sub-contractors.
JP claims he is not a ""lighting designer"" but I would disagree! :) I had no idea what to do with the lighting but his suggestions and advice were perfect.
I will definitely use Prince Electric in the future and highly recommend them to others.

Called late on Friday, JP returned my call Monday morning and said he could be over at 1:30. He got here by 1 and was done less than an hour later. Everything worked. No fuss, no mess. Very quick and focused on the job at hand.
