After searching, for over a month, for an electrician in Tarzana/Encino I finally came across Prime Electric, during a Google search. I needed to put up a ceiling fan in my kitchen to help keep it cooler during the hot summer months. During the initial visit, Ben Borenstein informed me that I would have to have more work done to reinforce the electrical box due to the weight and movement of the new fan. I was hit with a service charge of $59.95 but Ben informed me that it would be taken off the total cost if I agreed to have him do the work. I was impressed by Ben's professionalism and his ability to explain what needed to be done. After working through the additional cost and details with my landlord, I decided to have Ben come back and finish the job. Ben came back on 12/7/18 to install the ceiling fan. He was on time, easy to deal with and finished the job in about 2 hours. He also did a fantastic job of installing the fan while working around several obstacles, up in the ceiling. Overall, Ben did a great job and I would refer him to anyone looking for a reliable and professional electrician. Matter of fact, I already have referred him to another friend. Very rarely have I discovered a valuable service on a Google search that has lived up to it's advertising but I have to say that Ben and Prime Electric are that rare find. If you live in the Tarzana/Encino area and need an electrician, give them a call.

Recently, I was experiencing electrical issues. I called Prime Electric and Ben came out to diagnose my problem. It was determined that I needed a new electrical panel. Ben took the time to discuss different options and costs with me, so that I fully understood my choices. Once I determined what I wanted to do, Ben & Barry came out and upgraded my electrical panel to a 200 amp panel. They were efficient and thorough with their work, cleaned up, and even neatly labelled each breaker!! I definitely recommend them and plan to use them for all my electrical needs!

The entire process from beginning to end with Prime Electric's service was EXCELLENT!! Pleasant experience! Able to book an appt for the next day & showed up on time. Plus they stay connected with you via text message about appt time and expected arrival. The project involved my hanging kitchen fixture. One of the bulbs having a very atypical socket had blown. Ben using his expertise went above &'beyond to save me from buying an entire new fixture.I am thankful for his diligent work at finding a solution. I would highly recommend Ben & Prime Electric! I was in search of an electrician when I came across Prime Electric and called to schedule a phone estimate, Ben called me right away and we scheduled an appointment for the same week. He came out walked me through what he would need to do to install my light fixture and got it done in a neat and timely manner. Also installed a dimmer which put the icing on the cake. Our electrical set-up for our home was a ""weekend warrior"" job done by the previous owner, so we knew that we were on borrowed time before problems would begin to be known. So of course, the problem presented itself on a holiday weekend, on a Sunday, and after 5 p.m. We began calling different electricians and the first few did not make it past ""hello."" And then we discovered Prime Electric. They had us at ""hello."" A professional service answered the call quickly and with professionalism. They took our information and said they would have a technician call us within the hour to discuss the issue and set-up an appointment. As promised, Ben Borenstein called us. He was upfront with the cost to come by the same night or the next day (a $200 savings if we waited), but let us decide. Within 2 hours our power was back on. During the visit, he advised us of the state of our electric set-up for the home and made recommendations for improvement -- a new electrical panel. We braced for the price and were surprised at the affordability to do what we considered a major job. From start to finish, working with Ben and Prime Electric has been an honest and professional relationship. We could not be happier with his work. Highly recommend!
