I learned electricity at technical school and earned my diploma with a grant to Bessemer Technical College. I was employed with various electrical contractors in the Birmingham area while finishing my apprenticeship and journeyman training. I fulfilled the state requirement of hours and was able to sit for the exam for Master electrician, successfully completing on my first go.
