AWFUL customer service!! Do NOT recommend. I had a terrible mildew problem in two rooms of my home and had someone come out who diagnosed my system as only functioning at 30%. I called Preferred Home Services who came highly recommended and, though they had me wait a week for someone to come out, I went ahead and waited that week because they came so highly recommended....as the mildew problem continued to get worse. They gave me a time slot of 12-2 pm so, naturally, I was waiting at home for them all day. It wasn't until 3 pm that I received a text message stating ""no technician is available, the next available time is in a week."" Exceptionally unprofessional. Would recommend anyone else.

Before we bought the house the Inspector found unit was not cooling properly. Previous owner had bought unit from Preferred Home Service and their service plan. Preferred came to home and put Freon in the mini split unit. We were advised to continue $16 a month service plan. Over the past 2 years Preferred Home service came to the house 2 times to put Freon in the unit because it was not cooling. I asked first tech if he did a pressure check and he said no. This cost over $200 to replace Freon that had leaked out again. Again last month unit was not blowing cold air. I requested a pressure check and charged $89 for test. Amazingly tech found a leak. Jamal said we can fix it for $1200. But we are going to cut you a break and only charge you $600. This unit should have been replaced when it was still under warranty. There are a few other things that this company did that I will not write about. Saving those for small claims court. Tech's were great. Upper management seems to be issue

I was on the preferred services maintenence plan and scheduled an overall hvac inspection several weeks ago for today. Confirmed with company by text yesterday and they stated they would be on site around twelve noon. I was working in the yard and came back in the house at about twelve ten. Had a message from the company that they had called to confirm the appointment and since I did not pick up they sent the technicians elsewhere and asked me to call I did and got an answering service who stated they would relay my call. forty minutes later I got a call from the company saying that since I did not reconfirm the appointment today they moved it ahead to next week. since that would entail having to stay at home another Friday I canceled all. I had used the company for a major bathroom remodel within the last few months and switched my maintence contracts to them as they seemed to be on top of things. unfortunately it appears I made an error

They said they can do almost all services in initial appointment. We just needed a couple of electric outlets moved. They came on a Tuesday, and couldn't perform the work until Thursday.

My minor concern was addressed today with quick service and no charge.

Our water heater kicked the bucket and we called preferred home services as they were the best rated on Yelp. The technician came to the door wearing a mask and was very professional. We had another contractor come quote the work and they were very competitive. They even sent a text with the tech's picture so we could be comfortable knowing who it was. After a short conversation, we agreed to terms and I asked when he could do it , he said ""now good?"" Lol! They have a great system, if they need to replace any parts they have a another person come bring the parts while they do the removal. Nate did an absolute fantastic job with the quality of work and speed. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. Wonderful company

Scheduled an appointment...I was told i'd be the second appointment in the MORNING. Come noon they politely tell me it may be be later, then I hear how they have appointments possibly running into the evening. Thanks to them i hang around all day waiting. Here is the best part, after waiting all day they want to reschedule for next week. Ah, no. Please respect people's time.

After having three plumbing companies to my home, Jonathan from Preferred found my problem!! Also, I must mention that two out of the three companies that came out prior were unlicensed people.
Jonathan from Preferred home services was on time, showed up using precautions for covid-19, polite, professional and knowledgeable. Jonathan was the licensed plumber that came to my home. He was amazing. He took his time going through the possibilities that could be causing a horrible smell in my home. Although his diagnostic review did not reveal the cause of the smell to be plumbing, we did find that the mud under my home is the cause of this horrific smell of decomposition. He came back to fill in the foundation and then he will be back to set the toilet. I cannot recommend this company enough!!! They honestly stand out in every area! Save yourself time and aggravation using any other company... really!!

Secondly two Master Electricians came and dealt with several issues. On time and both services reasonably priced , as a Realtor I will use them for all my a client's needs . consider giving them a try . The also do Heating and air.""

The technician who came out to my house was respectful and courteous. However, charging $700 for a leak test (then quoting $2700 to fix the actual problem) is absolutely outrageous and a poor reflection of this company. We called the office to speak with a supervisor who did not even have the decency to call back. I had another guy come out who charges $185 for a leak test and fixed the actual problem for $580. Coming from someone who has no knowledge of HVAC systems, please be aware that this company will upcharge you and scam you as much as you will allow them to.
