we had 8"" of snow on the ground & furnace broke down. Called 5 companies & preferred were the only ones that showed up & installed a new unit the next day!

I was contacted by Jamaal from their customer service department after I posted my review. He listened to my reasons for the review and stated he understood why I felt the way I did. He apologized for the fact that when I called my concerns were not brought to his attention. He refunded my 59.00 dollars, which I appreciate. Good customer service goes along way.

Excellent services to fix hot water heater.
Upgraded to more adequately service our home, given that builder installed the heater meant to serve an apartment for one bedroom home in a four bedroom 2 1/2 bath residence.
The heater Definitely should've lasted more than seven years on a Home constructed and moved into in 2017

I have an update to my review. Jamaal called me a couple of hours after I posted the bad review on 8/19. He bent over backward to make things right. He initiated a credit back to me for the $418 I was charged for the plumbing job (so I got the plumbing part of the job for FREE) and set me up with a free maintenance contract for a year. I don't know about Brian H who said Jamaal was rude to his mother. That was not my experience with Jamaal. He could not have been more courteous or more sincere about doing everything he could to make things right, and I appreciate that.

WARNING: Do not let them keep your card on file!
We had Preferred come do two repairs before we moved out of our home in late May, one charged to my wife's credit card, the other charged to mine.
The card she paid with was then charged $1438.00 for a service at that address 15 days after we moved out. She called to complain and they refunded the money saying they charged the wrong card.
They then charged the card I used the same $1438.00. I called and they said they couldn't find my name or phone number in the system. They said that address was associated with someone who was not me, and that they saw the service done that day in June.
The customer service rep said she would contact accounting and have them call me in 24 hours. 4 days later, they still haven't contacted me or refunded my card.
I have called the credit card company and reported it as fraud. Why would you not ensure the homeowner's name is on the card being charged and that they can give the security code on the back of the card??

I was very impressed with their services. Quick response time. Technician was very professional, friendly, and walked me through exactly what the issue was and solution. After the service call, they followed up to ensure I was satisfied. I'd highly recommend them!

We have spent over $35k with this company on 2 new units and pay them annually for inspections and ""priority"" service. We have been without our main ac unit since Saturday--they had told us they would be here today @ 2pm. It was pushed back to 4:30, then received a text at 5pm that they would need to reschedule. When we called, they said they would ""try"" to get here tomorrow. The ""gentleman"" we spoke with was rude and clearly just wanted to get us off the phone even though we first called them on Saturday. Another day of my husband cancelling his work schedule and waiting around for them to show up. Clearly the owner needs to revamp his customer service.

We had Preferred Home Services come and do an A/C checkup before the extreme temperatures started. It was the most extensive and complete review of a system we have ever had on 5 homes. The technician explained everything so we could understand each component's condition. As our system is going on 11 years, we won't be replacing any parts until needed. We will be getting an estimate for a new system as we don't like surprises. As usual, we are totally satisfied with the service from Preferred Home Services.

This company cancels at the last minute and tried to make me reschedule to another week. Would have believed it was because of emergencies that popped up and technicians that called in sick if they hadn't done it to my friend the week before after already making her reschedule for the same reason. Can't have the same reason for not showing up multiple weeks in a row and make customers constantly take time from work to not even have someone show up.

Fast service. I had a simple repair. The diagnostic took an hour. Was super expensive. I didn't want a pitch for membership, I just needed a minor repair. The repairman was great. Too expensive.
