Preferred Home Services provided plumbing services at my home on James Island. The company quickly responded and called the day before for a reminder and then called the day of the service to indicate the plumber was on his way. An email was sent with picture of technician. Ben arrived on time and did a great job throughout the experience. Respectful, courteous, knowledgeable, patient, sincere, and pleasant all described his personality and skill set. I was certainly pleased with Ben and the Preferred Home Services experience. Yes, I know...these type services are not inexpensive; however, if I must use them I want the company I use to be professional. I'll definitely use them again!

I got suckered into a $79 HVAC Tune Up. They basically provided around $1500 worth of estimates for repair work. About $500 of that were things that should have been covered in the tune-up.

Lots of things were ""inaccessible."" What that means is, it's inaccessible for $79, but for an extra few hundred, we can do it in 20 minutes. I should have known that $79 was way too cheap to actually clean or flush anything.

HVAC companies are a dime a dozen, pick a different one.

Way over priced. Price for new ac unit was $9000 they offered me a discount and the new price offered was $7000. The tech that came out previously said it would cost $3000-$4000 to replace. When I asked how much the unit self was worth I was told $2200. They expected me to pay $5000 in labor. No way. You don't just pay for labor for the job worked you pay the salaries for the workers also. Also told me I had to replace the unit. When I got a second opinion I was told there was nothing wrong with it and it has been running great ever since! Scam company and way over priced!

fair is fair, and I must update and upgrade my review.After the sheduling snafu that I alluded to in my last review, things have been fine. The plumber finally came albeit unanncounced several hours late and fixed my leak just fine. Subsequent to that Derek came out to install a part in my heat pump. He came within an hour of myc all and did the work very well.Both people explained things to me and asked my permision to proceed.I felt that they were very proactive. If I had to take a guess I would say that if there is a problem it lies in the interface between the office and the tech, and thngs are sometimes not communicated to the client. In event I am very satisfied now

I was stuck in Philadelphia and my AC unit went out on Sunday. My Future son in law called Preferred to come out. They gave him a time and they arrived just as promised.
Travis Eunson immediately diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it on the spot.

This is a company that has gained my trust and admiration for being so honest and reputable.

I would highly recommend them for any home AC needs you may have in the future.

First time customer here. I called to schedule a same day appointment and they quickly responded. The customer service was really good, which only got better when the Tech arrived at the house. Michael (Tech) was very profesional and within minutes had diagnosed why the air conditioning stopped working. He quickly drafted an estimate and once I gave him the approval for repairs, he had the ac up and running within the first 30 minutes.

I thought the prices were very reasonable considering ac services could quickly get out of hand and unfortunately companies out there have a tendency to take advantage of customers. Not the case with Preffered Home Services; they were very profesional, have personable and friendly staff and above all, they have integrity and provide outstanding customer service. They truly look for the best case scenario to a problem and budget that solution to meet the customer's need. I'm a member now and will continue to count on their services for a long time to come. Great job guys!

I talked to the owner, Chris after the problems I had with our technician. He offered to refund, which I appreciated, but we will still have to pay someone else to patch a hole that shouldn't have been cut in the first place.

Nothing could have been better than to greet Joe at our door and gave him inspect our HVAC. He took the time to explain to me how our system worked and what to look out for. The tech was extremely nice and courteous. A great representative of his company.

I can't say enough about this company! I've used them twice now, once for a plumbing issue and today for my
AC. They were prompt, professional, knew what they were doing and made me feel comfortable and confident in their work. I'd recommend them to anyone, but hopefully I don't need them again anytime soon
