Carlton is as good as it gets! He is efficient,conscientious, fair with his prices and does great quality work. My husband and I have had him do several installation, repair and assembly household projects for us over the past few months, and now we would not think of hiring anyone else. He is also respectful, friendly and professional. It's hard to find all of that in one person, so we feel very lucky to have found him on Yelp.

*Don't give money to him in the beginning, until the job is done. Not trust worthy.
*He is older so not so young...so I shouldn't of hired a old guy to help us out with our small couch. He's old and brittle. And my Grandfather can lift more.
*Common sense isn't the best since he does not understand what it means to move a couch into a apartment.

Pros
None but I guess he took us for a ride far as our money and my friends common sense of trusting a nice old man and let's not forget a teamwork effort with my other friend who lift most of the couch.
So a con-artist.

Rant about our visit with Carlton
At first I thought he was very awesome for helping us girls out by fitting us in his tight schedule unfortunately not the case! He half as* the job! I booked him and found his Yelp reviews great but he was horrible! There's a group of 4 girls (my friends ) that where moving to a apartment on one flight of stairs. We arnt that strong except one of the girls I told her that you can help him move it and she said she'll try. So I booked him for my friends as gift to them for their new apartment! He told me he will squeeze us in for $120 so I agreed and gave the money to my friend because I needed to run a errand. She told me so frustrated how disappointed she was and he didn't get the couch up the stairs or even off the moving van. Her sectional is quite small but it is in 3 to 4pieces. She said he got one of the smaller pieces with the help of the other girl in the apartment and 2 others one in the van the other by the stairs!!! I said did you give him the money she said I did!! She apologized I said it's ok we learned our lesson. She said in the beginning she gave him the money because he was so nice and she didn't want the money in her car or in the empty house (she left her purse in the other house) so she had no place but to give it to him. Then she soon regret it, from what she told me he was very rude and said he had no time and left the furniture where they laid!!

I called Mr. Fixit because I needed to have a new bathroom sink faucet installed. I'd called another company, who sent out an incompetent plumber who knew nothing about the job. He called his company and told me that the price for the faucet installation would be $295, which I knew to be outrageous. Then I called Carlton, who did the entire job splendidly for $65! So I feel confident he is competent and fair. Good job!

Carlton fixed a pocket door for us and also repaired a hole in our wall. He was a champ! Super responsive and easy to schedule-- clear and pleasant communication from start to finish. He did a great job. We plan to use him again next time we need a handy man!

This guy is the best handyman I have ever hired. He is very thorough. He is on time, friendly and honest. I have hired him to install or repair mirrored closet doors, toilets, curtains and curtain rods. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to any of my friends or family members. His prices are reasonable.

Anne H. 6/16/16- I emailed Carlton today for help with my bedroom fan which quit working. He couldn't have done a better job. I was desperate because I needed the fan for health reasons. Carlton called back within an hour asked few questions and suggested that I needed a new fan. He came out that day within an hour after I picked up a new fan. I am disabled and I needed the fan with light and remote so I could sleep at night without pain. He checked the old fan first to make sure it no longer worked before replacing it. He was kind, professional and knowledgeable. He helped me out of a difficult situation. He couldn't have done a better job. He protected my floor when putting the fan together and was done within two hours. He changed an old light switch without changing me because he had one. I have used him in the past and will continue to use him. I won't use anyone else. He's fantastic!
