If I could give 10 stars, I would!! After a week of dealing with other AC companies through a home warranty company, we finally picked up the phone and called Precision. Best decision we could have made! They came out immediately, the Project Manager (Tim Britt) was kind, professional, and helped us land on the right units for our home, and our budget. A technician came immediately to help get quick relief... I will never use another company and I've already recommended Precision to several friends and family members! Over the past year or so I've called Precision to work on my AC units. Up until today I'd felt they were great -- prompt service, knowledgeable techs, reasonable pricing. Now I'm not so sure on account of today's interaction. An AC compressor was not turning on so I called them up and for some reason I was transferred to another person who told me the last tech that was out had noted the unit used r22 refrigerant and, as r22 is being phased out, they probably wouldn't be able to obtain replacement parts and that the best course of action would be to talk to a project manager about having a new unit installed. Confused, I asked if this person was telling me they weren't going to schedule a tech to even just take a look. They flat out said no. I'm still shocked that they refused to even come out and see what could be done on a 100+ degree day. Anyway, I called around and found someone that wanted my business and it turned out to be a spider shorting out some controller and frying the fan motor (which astute readers will notice has nothing to do with the refrigerant type). By some fantastic miracle the helpful tech not only was able to find replacement parts but had them on hand.

In the next year or two I was hoping to proactively update the HVAC system in both units of my duplex and I would have used Precision. I'll probably go with the guy that didn't take my tenants hostage in an attempt to strongarm me into unnecessarily purchasing a new AC unit.

Edit: I'm amending my review from 2 stars to 1 star given Joe's response. I did not talk to a Joe, I was only speaking with 2 polite women. The entire phone call I made it clear I wanted someone to come out to my property and I was transferred to ""dispatch"" where I was then told there would be no attempt to service my unit on account of the refrigerant type. There was no 11pm time-frame mentioned because there was no attempt to even try to schedule a tech. I don't recall ever having a conversation with someone named Joe about wanting to update my systems in the past so I'm going to assume this is a fabrication. And just to clarify - trying to cajole me into talking to your sales team when I have tenants without A/C in 103 degree heat is taking advantage of a situation, but perhaps strongarming wasn't the best phrase. When you're rereading the above review mentally switch out strongarm with ""hustle"" or ""exploit"" since, as Joe correctly points out, I wasn't technically strongarmed.

So, with all that said, this is the level of transparency and integrity you can expect if you decide to hire Precision.

When our A/C went out, Jordan came at midnight and fixed the problem: the drain for our unit's condensation was clogged from a buildup of mold. This has been a pesky problem since the house was built 30 years ago. The builder created the problem by putting the drain on the other side of the attic with little or no slope. Condensation flows poorly so mold flourishes.

A month after Jordan fixed it I decided to to prevent mold buildup by pouring in bleach, but I didn't know that a good portion of the liquid flowed into the A/C unit rather than the drain. The next day I followed this with water and then Liquid Plumber, and some of this too flowed into our A/C. 24 hours later the drain was again clogged, this time with material etched from the inside of the A/C.

Once again Jordan promptly came to our rescue. He kindly said nothing about my being responsible for the latest clog and focused on the long-term problem. With help from his co-workers Seth and Frank, we now have a condensation pump that forces the water where it belongs and eliminates mold buildup.

I'm confident that our pesky 30-year problem is behind us. Thanks Precision!
