This is a company of integrity and honesty. You wouldn't worry to get scammed. My house had a partial outage (one area was out of power). I reached out to one firm recommended through google search. They sent an electrician with a prentice, charging $129 for an on-site diagnosis, of which can go towards fix. They did 5 minutes check, found nothing wrong with the breaker, the fuse and the outlets. it is the problem of the neutral and he quoted me over $1200, with a discount the final quote was $950. Of course I refused and sent multiple quote request through Yelp. Before getting any further help, I checked the outlets and found a one with a lose touch, just a simple push, the problem was gone. later I got several quote response. Most of them are just about the rate. Only the response from Precision Electric Company is different. The lady (owner) gave me a suggestion first, and it was exactly the way towards fix. Below is her response.

Hi XXX, 90% of the time its a tripped GFCI (google this if you're not familiar with what they look like). You should go around the house to ALL of the outlets that are this type and press the reset button till you hear a click. Likely this will restore your power to all outlets.
In the event it doesn't fix it, we can come out to troubleshoot. Its $125 and includes up to an hour of technician labor. Materials would not be included in that price and would be priced and quoted on site based on what ends up being needed. Most of the time if we come out we can solve your problem within this one hour.

As you know getting anything done to your home can be a stressful time. I can tell you with confidence that Percision electric was professional and their value was unbeatable I did a lot of shopping to find the best deal for solar and I found it with them. Mind you I went to seven different solar companies and got seven different quotes. There value was by far the BEST! Greg the owner is a standup man, Aram the manager answered every question I had (I had a lot), and Mike the installer was awesome and even went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied with everything that was done. Rare company here! I will be telling my friends and family about there excellence. If your in need of anything electrical/solar start with them and save yourself the stress and time!

Oh! To be at the mercy of an electrician! It all depends on whether they know their stuff or not! Half of my house was dark from a blown fuse. I needed it fixed immediately, and yes, it was more than tripping the breakers. A friend gave me the number of some yahoo that charged me almost $500.00, for an hour and a half, and he couldn't figure out or fix the problem! After racking my brains, I finally remembered Precision Electric Company in El Cajon was recommended by a few of my friends who used them in the past. I called, and they sent out a reputable and experienced electrician within a couple of hours. It took no time at all for this guy to figure out and fix the problem. I couldn't believe the invoice he handed me! I felt I should've paid way more! Incredibly reasonable! From the classy ladies in the office to the gentlemen they sent out, this is a very reputable establishment and I am now more at ease knowing that I can count on and trust this company for any and all of my electrical needs! In an era of declining service and reliability, I was really happy Precision Electric showed up for the quote on time, then showed up to do my new hot tub panel extension and hook up when they said they would. They had all the parts they needed, did a really clean, custom job, for the original price quote, even though the extension was a little longer than expected. Thanks Joe and Mike!
