I had Precision Electric come out a couple weeks ago because I had messed up some wiring in my bathroom. (I found them on Yelp.)

They use a texting system of reminding you of your appointment, letting you know when they're on their way, and then arriving exactly on time- it's pretty impressive. Josh, the electrician got the job done in an hour and in the most professional and unobtrusive way.

I highly recommend Precision Electric and will use them again if I ever decide to tinker with my light fixtures again (without any experience whatsoever.) We also plan on calling Precision when we are ready to install an all-home generator system for expected PG&E outages this summer.

Tim was the best! Showed up at the house right on time. Put in the 50 amp circuit, cleaned and was down the road within 1 hour. Very polite guy who I felt was very competent. I would hire Precision Electric again without a second thought!

DISCLAIMER- I have never used the services of Precision Electric. I came here to comment on an encounter I had on the road with one of their vehicles. I'm not going to go off on a tangent however I will sum it up as a total lack of courtesy and professionalism. If this in any way reflects the quality of their work, stay far away from these guys. Pro tip- don't drive like a turd when your business name is all over your vehicle.

So far Precision has been more than accommodating in answering my questions as opposed to another highly rated company that neither showed for the appointment or returned repeated contact attempts.

After an initial bid to replace an aging and fire prone electrical service panel, they returned to give me a revised bid. It was about 60 % of the first bid. However, the solution they proposed the second time was much preferable to replacing the original panel set in a stucco exterior wall. They placed a sub-panel inside the garage and used the old panel as a pass through for the wires from the main circuit breaker. Great solution and saved a lot of money. The work was done very well and the technician even relabeled all the new circuits. Great job. My only issue was having to ask for a second option since the first was very expensive.
I had used them prior to this job due to some serious existing problems. When they saw the old service panel, he explained why it needed to be replaced. I had that experience on another house so was aware of the problem. They did an equally great job on the earlier repairs.

I called them this morning due to a malfunctioning generator. The man on the phone said ""I can probably save you a few bucks by asking a couple of questions"". In 5 minutes, he deduced the issue and had a fix for me...for free.

I will be their customer from now on. The previous people I called said ""we are too busy to help you"". This is what local service is all about.

Five stars is not enough. But it's all I got....

So, I didn't actually have Precision Electric do any work for me -- because they said I didn't need it! I talked to Rachel over email and set up an appointment for the electrician to come out and look at what I thought was a major job. He inspected it and told me I didn't need what I had been led to believe I did -- and told me all about how the house was wired and what had been done in the past and how to use the existing panel more efficiently. He gave me a very fair quote for work that I ended up deciding not to move forward on. If I need an electrician in the future, I will call them back. I just can't believe how honest and friendly and informative he was. These are good people.

So responsive, proactive, reasonable and on time. I'm so happy with Precision Electric. I sent an email through yelp and received a prompt reply back from Rachael . She followed up with a phone call and sent me a quote. We set up an appointment and I received a call that the electrician was on his way. He was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. We had an issue with one of the lights and he was so patient while I decided what I wanted to do. I highly recommend them.
