Don't use them ever!! They installed ceiling fans in our new home but set all 5 remotes/fans exactly the same on all the fans (which are the same brand). This screws each of them up; so when you turn one on; another one in different bedroom shuts off. This goes for the lights in the fans as well. When we contacted them to fix this; they said it's not in their scope of work, seriously!!! They didn't center our under-cabinet lights in the kitchen. Said the same thing about this. Not their fault...Don't use them. This is the worst customer service ever!!!

We just moved into a new house in Texas and have been experiencing our first year of Hill County lightning and thunderstorms! Last night my husband and I were in the living room during the storm and we heard a loud zap/frying sound come from our microwave/fridge area. It was terrifying! The fridge went out, along with some other lights in the house. We weren't sure what to do or if the area was safe, so we called the Emergency line at Powerhouse Electrical. Left a message and Keith got back to us in less than 10 minutes. This was at 10:30pm, mind you! He was so kind, talking me through what to check on our electrical panel, instructing what to do after the storm, etc. He never once made me or my husband feel stupid for our concern or try to rush us off the phone since it was late. Literally the kindest human ever. Not to mention, the next morning after the storm ended, he called me back to check to make sure everything was ok!! Our panel did everything it was supposed to do during a surge and the house is safe. It was sort of a scary experience, but I appreciate the kindness and help from Keith at Powerhouse. You got a customer for life!

Great service and perfect informed concept. Their job is totally professional to determine my kitchen island breaker shorting problem. Visited my home multiple times until I fully understand what's going on. Give me a couple of options for Countermeasures.

Wired my house wrong and caused burnout of septic pump. Builder had them come out again and two years later same problem. Why because the didn't wire per code and wired septic pump to garbage disposal and dishwasher. Per code septic pumps are be wired by themselves! Do not use this company. They also wired several lights incorrectly.

I have a new home in Buda which is exciting! However, the dark side of a new home is getting moved in and finding out that some things don't work as they were intended to.
I had a breaker in my Master bedroom/bathroom/closet that kept shutting itself down for no obvious reason.
Kenneth from PowerHouse Electric came out to assess the situation and determinately figured out (after tracing out everything in the circuit) that there was a misdirected nail from the outside siding that was intermittently contacting the neutral behind a wall duplex and causing a short.
He repaired it and now all is well! Let there be Light... and now there is!
Thanks Kenneth!

Worked with PowerHouse after signing for a new build with MHI-Coventry. From the beginning it was obvious that the rep (Brian) was ill trained, uninformed and extremely non professional. He had little or no information relative to cost and options, showed with the incorrect elevation and never bothered to ensure we were informed of specific locations of several selections. Through the build process they were non communicative and rude. Wall plugs were installed in the wrong areas, can lights were omitted and wiring for under cabinet lighting was in the wrong areas. All of these issues were caught by us and most were corrected after escalations....but not all. I would never work with this company again and plan on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as posting on the website for the National Housing Association.

These people originally wired our home from the start . We recently used them for an assortment of things at our home . We had a great experience with them . From come out to our home to see what we needed to getting the overall bid and then the work . They were very professional and i highly recommend them

Moved into a brand new home wired by Powerhouse Electrical. Three months after moving in two areas of my home were tripped. Areas impacted meant that my security alarm and my PC were impacted. I work from home so I was ""out of business"". Also, I have a 95 y/o Dad who walks with a cane and a 90 Mom in a wheelchair. Because of this and the risk of an electrical fire, the fire department recommended that I leave the impacted areas off until a licensed electrician could come and inspect for issue.
Not knowing what to do...I called my normal electrical who serviced my home before I moved into my new home -- ITS Electric. His response was ""OMG. Keep your parents safe. I'll come out now ..let me make some calls to move my schedule around. He then asked...""is this a new home?"". Since it is a new construction home and under warranty the warranty is voided if he touches the system. So I called Powerhouse -- who did the wiring. And, the response was. ""OK. I'll type this up and you'll hear back sometime today when we might be able to come out to look at that."" Again, two areas of my home are in the dark. I'm without electricity in the area where my security system and my wifi are located. I can't take a shower in my bathroom because the fire department indicated that it could be a leak causing the issue. My parents would be hard to muster to get out of the house in the case of an issue and they are just nonplussed by it all because it likely means it will cost them to roll a truck to my home to fix the issue -- and I'm sure they are prioritizing ""profitable"" work.
This is the second time in three months I've had an issue with electrical. A GFCI area was tripped on the back porch a month ago.
What baffles me is that this is a new home. I've lived in 5, 10 and older homes with never an issue of a tripped breaker. But, in this new home done by Powerhouse...twice in three months. And, their concern level over the quality of their work...seems to match the quality of their work.
If you buy a home done by these guys .... be very vigilent and stay safe.

This is absolutely one of the worst companies to work for. A totally toxic environment to work in and the owners are cheap as hell. They will give you promises of better working conditions and pay just to get you in the door then never meet them. Totally unrealistic expectations.

These guys are absolutely without a doubt outstanding. I had an electrical issue that may or may not have been covered in my home warranty, but the company that services my builder's warranty in Austin was unavailable. The builder directed me to Powerhouse in San Antonio and they worked with me to help get the problem fixed because they deal with the builder in San Antonio. Within two hours of my original call not even knowing is thy could help me I was back in business! A++++ I would trust Powerhouse with any electrical needs!
