Finally found someone who could get the job done, thanks to Power Trip Electric and Blake our LED Light issues are now fixed. I had gone back and forth with a prior electrician who did initial install and felt like I was going in circles, I am so glad I took the initiative to find someone else and came across Power Trip Electric. Sarah the owner was super helpful and fast in setting up a time for her technician to come by. Both our issues were fixed almost immediately for a fair price. Thank you to Sarah, Blake and team for helping us out, we will most definitely be using them for any future lighting needs.

Had them do a few different jobs including 10 recessed lights on a dimmer, 2 new dedicated circuits (one through some tile in the bathroom), a new overhead light and switch, as well as a new subpanel. They did a great job overall and everything is working well and looks good. They did have to cut into some drywall but have a drywall guy on staff- that work is still to be done so will update the review then.

Patrick and Sarah were responsive (moreso over phone than email in general) and both the estimate as well as the actual work day started on time. Blake did a great job as the foreman and really saw the project through to completion, including cleaning up at the end and then staying late to troubleshoot an issue with a circuit. He also was very communicative and explained what they were doing and asked my thoughts before moving forward with important parts of the job. I found the crew to be professional and nice guys in general- wore shoe covers, cleaned up after themselves, etc.

I had 6-7 electricians come out for estimates and while not the absolute cheapest, Power Trip's was definitely one of the most competitive and best of all, they were true to the initial estimate.

Like I said, while I'm waiting for the drywall to get patched up in the next few days (and so things could potentially change),overall I was really pleased with the work that Power Trip did, the way in which they did it, and the price at which they did the work.

Patrick was recommended to me by Lite line in Los Gatos. I wanted to replace old fluorescent fixtures in my kitchen ceiling with recessed led. I was concerned about coordinating sheet rock and was told they do it all...and they do! We wound up with a complication which Patrick handled beautifully. His team is responsive, very meticulous, and pleasant. They did a great job and I am happy to have a great electrician to call in the future. I would highly recommend them.

Very impressed with Sarah's quick response to my request for a quote. Even though they were booked during this holiday time, Patrick called and sent over two guys to troubleshoot my issue. The two electricians (forgot their names) were fast, knowledgeable, courteous, and power was restored within an hour! Extremely happy with the response, price, and customer service. Power Trip Electric is great! We had a connection issue on one of the outlets that was causing half of the house to lose power. Sarah was really responsive in scheduling the appointment same day and Blake was really good at root causing and fixing the issue quickly. Would recommend them to anyone trying to fix your power issues quickly.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I sent out a request for advice re installing my own landscape lighting. I sent it to 7 different local businesses and Power Trip got back to me right away suggesting I call them for more guidance. They were awesome! Sarah and Patrick talked me through all my concerns and each step of the process--and they did all this with full knowledge that I wasn't planning on hiring them and they weren't going to make any money off of it. I'm very impressed by this business and definitely will use them when I do need to hire someone!

Patrick and team have been my go to electricians for many years and multiple houses. They've done everything from upgrading my dimmers to smart style wifi enabled, installing LED tape and recessed lighting, installing low voltage Monorail systems with custom bends all the way to rewiring my whole house.

Everyone on his team is super nice, clean and always on time. He even has a drywaller on staff, so we don't have to worry about getting someone else to come patch holes.

I most recently had a recessed LED strip installed in my ceiling. After it was done I realized how hard it was to do and actually felt a bit guilty about it. But they nailed it and the strip (in a square shape) looks perfect.

I've worked with Patrick Murphy (Mr. Murphy to me) and his guys Blake and Co for a few years now and they're the only company I trust for my electrical. We have had them out to help wire a new upstairs area and do a lot of trouble shooting over the years since the electrical on our remodel was not impeccable. In addition, I made some poor purchases that literally had to be rebuilt by Patrick and team.

Their prices are standard for the Bay Area - which is high - but the work is done beautifully and lasts forever. They're all personable and pleasant which is nice when you've got strangers in your home, and most importantly very knowledgeable. They don't mind a challenge and actually love to troubleshoot.

I only wish I had known them before our major remodel because I think they would have been great at lighting design and probably prevented me from making some rookie mistakes.

I will add that they've been in business for decades, but Patrick recently broke out on his own and started Power Trip. So they're a very seasoned and capable team with years of experience even tho they don't have many Yelp reviews.
