My rating would be ZERO stars if that was an option. I purchased a Kohler generator for my home from Power On which included installation for the price of $9730 on June 2nd of 2023. I made a down payment of half that amount ($4865) on June 2nd as well. They did inform me that it would take a month or two to complete installation. I called the office twice in September and was informed of a change in ownership and that I should have received notification via email. I never received any such email. I've called and emailed and messaged both the owner Richard and the office multiple times since then with no response whatsoever. In each instance I've told him/them I want a refund for the down payment, as it's now been FIVE months! Not only am I angry but am also in need of a generator.
Update: it's now been seven months. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on December 7th. The BBB attempted contact via email and phone with no response. Today I requested investigation by KXAN Austin. I'll update on Yelp again after hearing from them.
I also noted today that Power On's website is no longer valid.
I ordered a generator and solar system. I paid the deposit and they promised to complete the job in 2 months. After 2 months I called them and they told me that I have to wait for the new owner because they are selling the company. Due to similarity of the reasons I read on company reviews, I decided to file a dispute with my bank.
We are dealing with the same issues as others have posted recently. Purchased a generator in March with a 50% deposit. Our salesman said it would take 90 days to complete the project due to Generac being back ordered and Power On having some many new orders after the freeze. After 90 days I talked with the salesman and he said it would be a little longer due to the back log of orders and the company being sold to a new owner. I then received an email in Sept saying my project was on their priority list and should be done soon. Now his email and phone number are out of service, the office doesn't answer the phone or reply to messages.
We will be contacting the credit card company to issue a fraud notice and talking with our attorney about our legal options. I've also contacted Generac since their national sales dept put me in contact with Power On because they were the local dealer. Waiting to hear back from Gererac.
I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Terrible company! We made a downpayment of $ 6,309 in January of this year. In May finally did some digging, but failid the Inspector. October 17th we should have had an isntallation together with City of Austin. Turned out the permit was not good anymore (should have been enxtended past July by Power on) No work done, no communication from this company with us. I call it theft of Money - fraud. I want my Money back!
After I wrote a negative Google review, suddently a response from Power on! They appologized and gave me a story of reopening their business etc. promissing me the generator installation before next year.(we have been waiting now for one year) Giving them another benefit, I waited three more weeks, but again, nothing and of course, no communication! They don't have any interest for installing my generator, they just wanted to sound good at the google review . Can't believe a word they say!
Under no spell do I recommend this company, stay away from this company, just to show you how bad they are the BBB gave them a rating of F, no customer service or follow up at all
