I manage a 7 unit place in Oakland and do minor fixes myself. Popeyes has been handling the bigger things for me, for quite a while now. They always go above and beyond my expectations. I never hesitate to get them out, as I know they will take care of my needs, as quick as possible. They've done appliance removal/hauling/install, door/frame install, 2 stairs rebuilt, non-structural wall, sheetrock, painting, etc.

They got back to me in a timely manner and we set up an appointment for 3 days later. They arrived on time and fixed my completely stuck French door and changed my under the sink water filter. I am pleased and will use them again. And the price was reasonable, much more so than another that I checked with!

We should have known something was wrong when the person on the other end of the phone answered ""hello"" instead of with the company's name. Anyway, we contacted them to do a kitchen job, but when asked about our location we were told, ""We only work in the Bay Area I dont know how you got our number"". Wow! Maybe Popeyes Handyman should take down their website and phone number if they don't want to be contacted. I wasn't aware from the website that they don't travel an hour out of their way.

I needed to mount a new large screen tv on my wall. I had another handyman who gave me an estimate close to $1,000.00! I thought that was too high and that's when I reached out to Andrew from Popeye's.
He called me back quick and asked a couple of questions about the project, and he gave me a much lower estimate. I mean waaaay lower.

When Andrew arrived he saw I had the mounting bracket, the cables and an behind the wall kit for the Hamilton cables. Andrew started the install. It was a little longer for the job and he should of charged me more, but Andrew stood by his original quote.

He went up to my roof to seal an area where a bathroom ceiling fan was leaking. When he came down, Andrew took some pictures of my roof. It's pretty bad, so now I'm going to install a new roof.

Andrew from Popeye's Handyman is incredible. Five stars for communication, prompt responses, great questions, fast estimates, easy scheduling, on-time arrival, ability to fix pretty much anything (finished a water filter faucet installation, tightened kitchen faucet and told us which tool to buy so we can tighten ourselves going forward, installed curtain rod support that was IMPOSSIBLE for us to install on our own, drilled in curtain tie backs into the same impossible wall, switched out three dimmer switches for normal light switches, and fixed a door handle that another repair person told us couldn't be fixed without a locksmith), and he's good with dogs.

The price for his work was very reasonable. I wish we'd found Popeye's when we first bought our San Leandro house in 2016 - it would've saved us so much time, money, and frustration working with other handypeople. Popeye's is our new go-to home repair service. I hope they're in business forever.

We recently adopted a very curious pup and decided it was finally time to get our closer door fixed (it has never latched properly) so that there's a safe place for our shoes to live. Andrew fixed it in about 20 minutes and charged me less than he originally quoted. Thank you, Andrew!

Andrew and his team do great work. We hired them to install wiring and a lighting fixture over our dining table, re-mount a pot light and do some exterior caulking around our home. Everything looks great and I am glad to have a trusty resource I can call or text for repair work.
