I had none of the problems that some of the other reviewers had. The lady on the phone was nice enough but answered it as a personal line instead of a business. I thought I mis-dialed. All in all, Andrew was quick to respond, we agreed on a price and he showed up 15 minutes early. I had a cabinet that needed to be assembled and he did it fast and efficiently. I recommend him and will use him again when I need a handyman!

Andrew and David did a great job on a few outdoor projects I had been ignoring for too long: hung a door, replaced rotting trim around the garage, installed additional trim around two doors and 6 windows, and built a gate. They worked hard and efficiently in the hot, hot sun. Andrew was flexible to meet my changing requests and able to modify tasks on the spot. The work was clean and the clean up good. Andrew is extremely responsive, easy to communicate with, and a good guy. I recommend him for your next project.

Today I had the pleasure to meet and have the professional services of Popeyes Handyman (Andrew and David). I received a quote for 2 jobs.... mounting a micro-hood and replacing a split door jamb and sticking front door ( I didn't have the tools needed for these jobs). I was quoted promptly and made an appointment same week. Andrew and crew arrived on time, they looked at both jobs and went to do a Home Depot run. They quickly returned back and go to work. Within the 4 hours (half day) which I was advised they would complete all jobs, and was advised of a 90 day guarantee. I paid for labor plus material.

I would recommend Popeyes Handyman Service to anyone in the east bay area.

I live on the East coast but have tenants in my property in the Bay Area frequently. One night the bathroom door fell off. Andrew (owner of Popeyes) was quick to assess the situation, give a competitive quote, was able to come on short notice, and worked with me being so far away. He also got the work done super quick, and included a 6 month warrantee on his work! I would highly recommend Popeyes!! Thank you Andrew!

This was my first time contacting a handyman company. Andrew called and asked if he could come earlier than he was scheduled to which was great. He got straight to work. He worked quickly and efficiently installing a faucet for me and even installed a new soap dispenser free of charge. He left everything clean after he was done. I was even able to get him to look at other things I wanted to get done, and he was able to give me quotes on the spot. I will definitely be contacting him again to finish other projects.

I called the main number a lady answered (sorry that I don't know her name) She basicly didn't answer the phone professionally: I ask if I may know who I was talking to and she said "" I'm with Popeyes Handyman Service"". Uuumhhh that's not what I asked. She stated ""what do you want and who's this"" Not professional at all! I then began to introduce myself... I told myself: if I'm calling your number is because I would like to use your service. Anyway when I stated who I was and what I was needing she them told me to ""email Andrew"". If people answer you so aggressively and not even be willing to give you their first name or say good morning and you're a business that doesn't make me want to use the business in the first place because of the rude personality. Poor service over the phone. Cant say anything regarding the services provided.

Andrew and team are great. I had them come over for a fence repair. They did an amazing job so I'm compiling a list of other projects that they can handle for me. I love how the specialize in small jobs. Finding a good handyman is hard to come by these day. Andrew and crew get my recommendation all day. I have their number saved and tell all my friends and associates about them.

They have a team of handymen so are typically able to accommodate short timelines and are actually responsive on text and email (compared to other services I've tried). They do really good work and are easy to work with. I really like that I can send pictures to get a cost estimate beforehand and that they bill by project instead of by the hour.

Had a very good experience with Popeyes last week. Justin arrived on time, explained how he planned to tackle the job and did excellent work for a reasonable cost. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with handyman type of work or repairs.

Nope, not satisfied at all.

I contacted Justin (since I could not reach Andrew). Had some very small tasks around the house (changing light bulbs, fixing some toilet flushes, tightening a water faucet, oiling a door).

- They quoted 350$ for all the small repairs around the house. I should have said no right there and showed them out the door but I hadn't had a proper sleep and was too tired to argue. I guessed they had great reviews on Yelp so they might be worth the extra money.

- I asked them to fix just the facet (which I couldn't do because I didn't have a special tool) but Justin offered to lower the price by 10$ and include all the new lighting that they would buy for me from Home Depot. I mean, if I hadn't said anything they would have charged me an outrageous amount of money.

- They took out one light fixture which they were not able to put back cleanly after trying for almost 1 hour. Created a mess in my kitchen in the process. It was good that I had a cleaning lady coming that afternoon otherwise I had to clean that up myself.

- They didn't buy 2 lights for blown out fixtures. Justin said they couldn't find them. I found them in less than 5 mins at Home Depot. I guess they didn't want to include them in 340$ price tag.

- They offered no real help with the toilet flushes instead one is even worse now and occasionally gets stuck.

- The water faucet that they ""fixed"" is now loose again. Justin pointed out that it was our fault since we have too much ""crap"" under the sync.

- I just wanted to get the stuff around the house fixed so I paid for the convenience. After 2 weeks everything is again falling apart. I was charged 340$, which is really expensive for a 1 hr job. Even then the service offered was totally unprofessional and crappy.

I generally don't write reviews on Yelp but seeing ""5 stars"" rating for them it feels like I should let any other prospective customers know about my experience. I would never call back them and advise others to stay away from them.
