I called them in because I had a 100 amp main breaker that was getting hot. Two technicians arrived and spent about 15 minutes looking around before giving me an estimate to replace both feeder lines and the entire breaker panel for almost $4,000. This was suspicious to me because a) the feeder lines had just been replaced, and b) they did no diagnosis. No even a voltmeter was deployed.

My neighbor is a retired licensed electrician. He came over and said why not just replace the breaker first and see if that is the problem, which we did. Lo and behold, the breaker was clearly the issue.

Problem solved for $57. Be careful.

beware of this company. They have excessive billing. They claim the tech was here for 1.5 hours ""based on GPS"" in van. I showed them my ring video with date and time stamp of the tech coming and going. They sent me a bill with the completed work pictures that is date stamped 2 minutes before the tech is out the door in my ring video. He was here for 1 hour, but his truck arrived 15 minutes early and he sat on his bumper smoking a cigarette until he knocked on my door at the scheduled time. I assume he did the same before he left but I was billed the xtra 1/2 hour regardless. I provided the ring pictures to the owner, they disregarded and only consider the GPS time on their trucks.

I'll start this review with a high level summary and then provide details for those who are interested. I would certainly NOT recommend this company. Knowing that I was in a desperate situation, they took my $169 for the initial inspection (which actually turned out to be $182 after fees), promising that they would apply it to the invoice for any work performed, then failed to follow up with a written quotation after multiple reminders, emails, calls, etc. In fact, they dropped the ball 5 times between the initial visit to the actual receipt of the quotation. After reviewing some of the other reviews, this seems to be a pattern. I could not imagine what it would be like if I actually contracted with them to do any real work.

My initial call was the first week in July. After hearing about my situation, (garage fire resulting in Duke Energy pulling the meter), the female answering the phones put Dave on speaker phone so that he could better understand the situation. My mother had just perished in the fire so it was a little sensitive. After telling Dave what happened and what needed to be done, he said he understood but that they were very busy and the best he could do was later in the following week (this was on a Friday). A week came and went so I called back 10 days later. The same female that I originally spoke to answered the call again and had no record of my original call or any request for an appointment. I had to tell the whole story all over again and when I was nearly finished, she said, ""Oh yeah, now I remember!"" and then blamed Dave for dropping the ball. She was able to squeeze me in with another technician either the same day or next day. I think his name was Rob but not positive on the name. When he arrived onsite, the first thing he said was, ""Good little fire you had here!"". What an inappropriate thing to lead with when my mother had died in the fire. I couldn't believe he would say that but he said no one had prepared him before he arrived. In any case, he was a nice enough fellow and completed the inspection. He walked me through the items that would need to be addressed in order to pass the inspection and have the power restored by Duke. He commented that it was not a big job in terms of expense or labor and could be completed relatively quickly. He said that he would write it up and send over the estimate to my email address the next day.

Nearly two weeks passed and I never received an estimate/quotation that included any dollar amounts, only a recap of the items that needed to be completed. I called the office again and spoke with Dave. Dave apologized and said he would check with the project manager and get back to me quickly. When Dave called back he said the costs weren't included because the work would be covered under service. I said I didn't understand what that meant and that for insurance purposes, I needed a quotation that included the estimate cost for repairs. He said he would get with the project manager and have something over to me the next day. I never received anything after a few days so I called Dave again. He apologized and again said it would just be covered under service. I reminded him about our previous conversation and he said he would get something over to me ASAP. When the quotation arrive a few hours later I was shocked! It was over $3,300. So much for being covered under service. In his quote he included a full replacement of the electric panel which ""Rob"" said was not necessary. ""Rob"" had removed the panel cover and confirmed all internal components were OK and that it only needed a front panel. Dave said this was not possible and would talk to ""Rob"". Miraculously, after discussing with ""Rob"", I received a new quote for $1,585 which still includes parts that are outside of ""service"".

I sent a message to the Executive Director, ""Kevin B."" letting him know about my very bad experience and asked that he give me a call. He never responded.

If you chose to TRY to do business with this company, good luck to you! You can't say you weren't warned!

Pinellas came out for an estimate and never followed up. They asked for the inspection report about the electric before the appointment, so they knew what needed to be done in advance. I emailed them after they came for the in person estimate and still never heard back from them. This was for a panel upgrade and rewire, so not an insignificant job. Don't waste people's time if you don't want jobs!!!

Great service....I called this morning because I needed a GFI installed same day and they were able to accommodate. I've met the owner Kevin through my neighbor and he is a straight shooter.

Very Pricey but you be the judge. The company was called to my residence to check the breaker to my well pump. Two employees showed up. I told the electrician the breaker did not have constant current after my neighbor checked the current. The panel cover was already off the panel, so he removed the breaker to find it was cracked. He said these are hard to come buy but believed he had one in the truck. He replaced the breaker and the well pump automatically turned on. End of service. The second employee (very nice guy) did retrieve a tool from the truck for the primary electrician but no other involvement. The service call was $169. Rate it for yourself but I think I will call a local guy for the electrical work on the kitchen remodel.

I later learned the local hardware store sells these breakers off the shelve, (although the company did not charge much for the breaker). I was curious if overcharged so called the supervisor to question the amount. He gave me the rundown that is what they charge. Per the supervisor, their GPS showed they were at scene for one hour. I would say like 15 mins but I was keeping track. You may want to time it. I think they bill from time of their departure from the last call or definitely when they put it in park and when they drive away. I got billed for them calling the office and getting the amount owed. Not to mention the time it took to write the check and give my email for the receipt. I suggest you ask for one electrician to come out and have everything ready for them to drive away. They are all about the dollar and not the relationship (nor referral business or repeat service from this customer. I wasn't looking for a deal but to be treated fairly.

Sarah is who I spoke to when I called to arrange an appointment and was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. The technicians who came out were very prompt, knowledgeable, honest and took a lot of pride in their work and how they conducted themselves. I could not be more grateful to have come across such a awesome company after the string of bad luck I've had recently. I will definitely be recommending Pinellas County Electric to friends, family and acquaintances!

These guys were great. Showed up on time and fixed numerous things around our 90-year-old house: moved a light switch, installed a new light box over the sink, fixed a non-working switch, and fixed the fan in the bathroom. They had to run to the store to get missing pieces and even had to jerry-rig the fan as the type we had was not made anymore, but they were able to fix it without requiring a whole replacement, which was great. They also patched their holes and explained how they were going to do everything before they did it, to make sure it was how we wanted it. And they cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful of my six-month-old's nap schedule. Really appreciate it.
