I called Pieper to add a 110V electric outlet in a laundry closet. The closet already had a 220V outlet and was adjacent to the main breaker board. I was quoted $79/hour (minimum 2 hours) plus materials, tax, and a truck charge of $37.50. The electrician arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment time, and told my wife that that was when the clock started, but not to worry, because having seen the job, he estimated it would take ""approx. 40 minutes, 1 hour tops"". Unfortunately he had to leave TWICE to buy materials. It was poor that he needed to leave once. Twice was outrageous. It ended up taking SIX hours to complete the job. After much back and forth, during which I was assured 3 times that the tech was fully certified, the best Pieper would agree to was 3 hours. I reluctantly paid $315 by credit card over the phone, and it took 4 days for them to acknowledge with a receipt. That was when I discovered that they had sent an unaccompanied apprentice to do the job. I will be paying a 3rd party to come and make sure the job has been done properly.
I would NOT recommend this company.
