We needed some old conduit rerouted for future roof work and hired Phrog Electric for the job. Price was on par with other licensed electricians and the work done was quick, clean and professional. Communication was good both pre-job and on site. They were even able to roll in some last minute bonus work. We'll definitely give Phrog Electric a call for the next job. Thanks Ray!

Getting a return call from an electrician seems to be a rare event these days in my experience and from what I hear from others. So I was delighted when Ray called me back and left a message. We played phone tag for a bit but we connected! Ray was patient listening to my issue, which was a very small job finishing what a previous contractor has started. He had me send pictures and from that was able to determine that he could do the job. We set a date a few days later but I was further delighted the next day when he called and said he had time to come out pretty much right then. He did, and he took care of our job expertly and quickly. He was excellent to work with and very reasonable in price. I would not hesitate to call him again and have already recommended him to family and neighbors. Thank you Ray!!

Phrog Electric just completed a sizable job at our 1945 Walnut Creek home and we could not have been more pleased! The task at hand was to remove ancient knob and tube in the attic and replace it with wiring that meets current Code. Owner Ray Bennett spent day after VERY HOT day up in our attic (outdoor temps often over 100 degrees! Attic much hotter!) carefully removing the outdated stuff, and correcting anything else he came across that had been improperly done through the years. Turns out, things had been done in the past which were unsafe :-O !! Ray corrected every incorrect thing he came across. Not only was he professional in every way (prompt, tidy, courteous...), but BONUS--he's just an all around great guy. [He's such a nice guy, he actually helped my husband and I with a few little odds and ends that popped up while he was here--above and BEYOND (we are retired and sometimes need little bits of help here and there on this old house...) our contract.] Ray was an absolute pleasure to have in and out of our home, his price was reasonable AND when the County Building Inspector came at the end of the job, he checked out all of Ray's work and happily signed off. Ray inspires confidence--we will now sleep better at night knowing the attic electrical has now ""been done right"" (and he's an accomplished Veteran to boot!). When needed, we would hire Phrog Electric again in a New York Minute!!

Due to my hectic schedule, I rarely write Yelp reviews nowadays but felt compelled to write a review for Ray. He is very reliable and professional. His work is thorough and of high quality. He has helped me put up light fixtures and reroute electrical wires. Just today, he came to my tenant's rescue at a moment's notice and fixed the electrical issues in their master bedroom. Highly recommended!

I spoke to Ray about a rush project on a Thursday afternoon, and he stated he would be able to help out Monday afternoon. I was getting a deck installed that would cover an electrical outlet so needed the outlet moved to allow the deck to continue on Tuesday. It's a critical timeline to avoid delay on the other project. Ray indicated it would be easy and no problem, and sent me a quote on Thursday late afternoon (around 5:30). I responded to his email requesting to lock down the Monday time slot on Friday morning at 8:15, but didn't get a response. I sent another confirmation email Friday evening, again no response. Monday rolls around, STILL no response, so I called in the morning, twice. I finally get a call back from Ray at noon, saying he wasn't going to be able to take the job, and he essentially blamed me (the customer) for not accepting his offer on the same day. Keep in mind, I had responded early next morning to his late afternoon quote! But that part was fine, if he had another job I don't blame him for taking it. What really angered me was that he didn't tell me about it! If he had responded to my Friday early morning email saying he couldn't take the job, I could have found another electrician in a timely manner. So I ended up scrambling to find someone else, and was frantically coordinating with the deck contractor and other electricians. Luckily I was able to make it work in time, AND the other electrician cost half of what Ray quoted me on!! So not only poor communication, but overpriced.

We learned about Phrog Electric through several excellent recommendations on NextDoor. We needed recessed lights and switches installed on a very short notice. Ray, the owner of Phrog Electric called us back the same day we requested a quote via a voicemail, and came over that same night in the afterhours (6 pm) to take a look at the proposed project. Ray understood our time constraints and did everything possible to complete the project on our requested timeline (even working over the weekend, and working a day before taking off for a week-long Grand Canyon trip).

Ray made recommendations for placement of lights and getting some small (2-inch) accent lights on swivels to add to the atmosphere of the room. The electrical work was top notch, and the artistic touch with the accent lights has been our favorite in the evenings.

Do not hesitate to call Ray for your electrical needs. He is knowledgeable, direct, cost-competitive, safe, and on-time. What more could you ask for from an electrician?
