I have used Peter Irving Electric multiple times and finally want to write up a review for them to share my praise. I have nothing but great things to say about the company. Very punctual, fair prices, and they do really good work. The entire staff is very friendly and always maintain a level of professionalism.

Not long ago I had a wall outlet installed in my living room for a wall-mounted TV that was going to require removing an old receptacle and filling. They did a great job on both. The repair of the old hole you would never know was even there.

Most recently I needed a 240v 50amp outlet installed to charge my EV. I was able to get scheduled and have the outlet installed in under a week! So thankful, especially during COVID. I highly recommend Peter Irving Electric A++.

I can't say enough good things about PIE!! We called them because two outlets weren't working. You would think that Fidel who came to fix it would stop after finding the loose wire in one outlet, and just tighten it. But no. Like a true problem solver, he was able to ascertain that four outlets were connected, so they would all eventually fail if he didn't address it properly. He was so patient in answering all my safety concerns, and patient to explain what he was doing. Also wonderful to know that Fidel has been working for PIE for over twenty years. A testament to the workforce Peter Irving has working for him.

I've used PIE for several home automation projects now, and I've been very happy with their work. I'm relieved because I have been struggling with finding a good, reliable and cost efficient electrician. I used them first for wiring a fireplace insert. They did an amazing job. I called them back to install a Nest Hello doorbell which was tricky because the wiring run needed to be replaced. I have no idea how they ended up doing it, but it's all set up and working like a charm. I brought them back a third time for hard wiring motorized window shades. Really good crew and very responsive.

Peter and team just completed a job of swapping out lighting in our kitchen and den along with fixing an electrical short. They were TERRIFIC! Did an amazing job, reasonably priced and Peter said it was going to be about a 4 hour job and they were done in 2. Will definitely be calling them back out to do the same work in our bathrooms.

Each morning when I get up and switch on a light, or turn on the quiet bathroom fan, or plug my iPad into my new charging station, I think of Peter Irving and his team. And, when my programmable front porch light timer helps to light the night or when my laundry can be washed and dried at the same time without tripping a switch, I quietly thank Peter Irving and his highly motivated, competent, hard-working, and creative team. They showed up on-time each day for 2 1/2 days ready to perform their magic providing quality service for their customer. Now, I thank/commend Peter, Donna, Fidel and his crew through this review.

It all began with research through various publications culminating with YELP!, whose respondents confirmed my research and provided me with the confidence to proceed with this company. From the initial contact, walk-through of my home, through completion of the job, our contacts have been totally professional. I provided a plan of my home, built in 1945, which was the starting point for all discussions and creative suggestion-giving. Within a few days, Peter submitted a clearly written proposal and estimate. After my review and a few change submissions, the proposal was signed and, approximately 3 weeks later, work began. Fidel, the foreman, and his crew of 6 arrived, before the agreed upon time of 7:30A each day, ready to begin. They attacked this complete electrical rewire in 3 phases, making certain that service was reestablished through the night. This was great because I could test the work completed and, if required, could be corrected the following morning. Fidel and his crew took necessary precautions to minimize dust, which is part of any construction, and cleaned the work area of debris at the end of each day's work. Any questions I had along the way were clearly explained to my satisfaction, either by Fidel or Peter, who checked in daily.

This total electrical rewire involved disconnecting and removing as much of old wire as possible and installing new wire throughout the home. Installing new and additional outlets and switches in the interior, exterior (GFCI), and garage. Installing smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in bedrooms, hallway, and parlor. Installing a more powerful and quiet bathroom fan and fan capability in bedrooms. New circuits in kitchen for lighting, dishwasher and garbage disposal. New lighting and furnace circuits in the garage. Installing an additional 2-20 amp circuits for future expansion needs. Installing an additional doorbell transformer, plus all the features noted at the outset. But the most important work this team did was to find and remove a long-standing electrical hazard that would have been detrimental, if conditions were right, to me, my family and all those who visited or were guests in my home.

A day after the total rewire et al, Peter came to hear if all was working to my satisfaction, as designed, and per my expectations. It was only after my input that payment was requested and happily given. This; however, was not the end of our contact. One week later I received a follow-up email saying, ""just wanted to check and make sure all is working well."" It still is and I am grateful.

Based on my experience with Peter Irving Electric, Inc., they are a consummate professional organization, trustworthy, honest, and with a competent, dedicated office staff (Donna) and work crew. I rate their Quality of work - exceptional; their Dependability/reliability - exceptional; their Communication - outstanding; and their overall Customer Service - exceptional.

We had a dead animal smell in the back bathroom. At a moment's notice, they sent a team who removed the air duct of the exhaust fan with a dead rat which has crawled in the exhaust (hard to believe), and installed a better, secure system. They accommodated our crisis with cheerful and professional workers. They also succeeded where exterminators were at a loss. They lived up to their usual high standards in an unusual assignment!
