Scott is a top notch electrician that knows his stuff. Our home in Encinitas has suffered from an intermittent circuit breaker problem for years. We've had a number of electricians try to fix it over the years, but it's always been a problem. Scott went to work on it and found the problem. He did this work a little over a year ago and I'm happy to say that we haven't had a problem since. His pricing is fair and his work is excellent. I was happy with his work then and I'm happy with it now. In fact I forgot to leave a review after he did the work, and I came back to Yelp to find his contact info so I could hire him again... and realized I didn't leave a review last time, so I'm doing it now!

We used Scott less than one year ago and were thrilled with his service. We agreed with much of what was said here. Then, today we hired him again for a similar job. His prices blew our socks off! I almost fell out of my chair when I opened his bill. His rates have gone up significantly. He never notified us, and we never thought to ask given he was here not long ago.

Our bill blew me away. When I asked about it, he said he raised prices due to workers comp and hiring another person. Furthermore, there were no receipts provided on parts, but a flat $150 charge. When I questioned him directly, he basically faulted me for not getting an estimate up front. I was less than thrilled.
Make sure you get him to give you an estimate before you hire him!

His work was excellent, but you'll pay dearly for it! He's much higher than similar installers I've worked with.

It seems everyone in our neighborhood used Scott for the electric work. Recently We need to install ceiling can light and power outlets, we hired Scott. We are so happy with his work, he is knowledgeable, friendly and offers reasonable price. Now we join all our neighbors to recommend him highly. Two days after he finish our job, we needed to move another power plug due to kitchen remodeling. We called him, he came soon after to move the plug for us. My husband already recommended him to his co-worker.

Absolutely Awesome! He was very reassuring and helpful! My 32 year old main circuit breaker had melted from arcing- which I didnt realize. I got a prompt return call the same day. He came and fixed the problem within 24 hrs including finding a replacement breaker which was not easy. I was very impressed with his expertise and friendliness.

I highly recommend Scott for any electrical work that you need! He was referred to me by my real estate agent who received recommendations from other clients that were very happy with his work. I called Scott after I had another company sent to my house by my home warranty company for a broken outlet. That company recommended that I change every outlet in my house since the outlets were the ""older"" type and might fail. Of course, this would be out-of-pocket for me since this would not be covered by my home warranty policy. I thought it best to get a second opinion. I had previously hired Scott for some outside electrical work, as well as installation of a ceiling fan, and found him to be professional, honest, and reasonable. His work was excellent -- he was neat and cleaned up thoroughly when he was done. When Scott came over to check our outlets, he found that the broken outlet had not even been repaired properly, so he fixed it, put in a new outlet, and told us that there was really no need to replace all of the outlets unless they fail. So honest! A few days later, the outlet failed again, so Scott came back, checked all of the outlets in that chain (which the home warranty electrician never did), and found that the real source of the problem was one of the other outlets. He fixed the problem, and did NOT charge us anything for this second visit, even though we had told him that the home warranty electrician had indicated that the broken outlet was the problem. Since then we hired him again to install some new electrical lines and switches for our new landscaping. He is always prompt, efficient, timely, neat, and professional, providing written estimates and always delivering as promised. If you need any electrical work done at your house or business, Scott is definitely the one to use!

Scott is easily the most friendly, flexible, and creative electrician I've worked with in OC. His pricing is competitive for our pricey market, but it's his work ethic and never surrender attitude that really makes him the only electrician we are willing to work with in OC. He did all the electrical work during our bathroom remodels and we couldn't be happier.
