Company Overview
With training from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, I am well-acquainted with all areas of electrical work (except for power lines). That said, I find the work I do in homes to be the most fulfilling. I take great pleasure in witnessing the smiles of homeowners when I finish my work. I manage power outages, install fresh outlets, switches, and lighting, and provide new electrical services when necessary. We also take on larger projects, frequently wiring new homes, additions, and businesses that depend on our expertise. License # 407626.
I have completed projects in residential, commercial, industrial, hospital, Caltrans, and military sectors. I possess the skills to run teams, interface with engineering departments, and read plans and specifications. Pelren Electric has a long list of satisfied clients, particularly among our senior customers, many of whom received services at no charge.

I have earned a Master Electrician's certificate in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was raised in the small town of Klamath, California, attending school until third grade; it was a duty rather than a delight. I roamed the forests surrounding the lumber town from dawn till dusk, reluctantly heading home when I heard my father's whistle or spotted my dog Spike sprinting toward me (he always knew where I was), coming to retrieve me at Dad's request. Aside from that, I enjoyed a carefree Huck Finn lifestyle. I called the northern coast of California home, and it stayed that way through my young adulthood. I went to College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University. I lived in Los Angeles for a decade, New Orleans for seven years, and then made my way back to northern California.
I hold the title of Master Electrician and also write. I have published a number of stories in the U.S. and abroad, and I work every day to produce more for my readers. My interests include writing, Austin-Healeys, Daimlers, MGs, motorcycles, and traveling. I love to travel.

Matt K.I contacted Rick based on the reviews here. He had a 2 month leadtime which I assumed meant he was a good electrician and in demand. I put a reminder in my calendar for two months.
A week after the two months had passed up I got in touch with him to ask when I could expect to see him. He said he was close to getting it worked out and he would let me know by that Friday.
After not hearing from him on Friday I got back in touch with him the following week. He asked for a complete list of the work I needed done, which I provided and then we had both phone conversations and email conversations.
Once he got the list of what I needed he seemed to loose interest. I don't know it the projects seemed too hard or what. If they were simple, I'd do them myself, as I'm quite capable of doing the easy stuff.
The biggest priority was to diagnose a problem we inherited in our old house of one circuit getting low voltage from some other circuit. I didn't ask for an estimate and was willing to pay his $100/hr rate to diagnose and fix that problem.
It's now been several weeks from our last conversation. I can only assume at this point he's not interested in tackling the job, but it would have been nice if he hadn't wasted 3 months of our time waiting.
