Company Overview
Trained by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, I possess extensive knowledge in various aspects of electrical work (excluding power line tasks). That said, I find the work I do in homes to be the most fulfilling. Seeing the joy on clients' faces after I complete a job is truly rewarding. I handle power outages, install new outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures, and provide new electrical services when needed. We engage in larger undertakings too, regularly wiring new residences, additions, and businesses that rely on our services. Our license number is 407626.
I have worked on residential, commercial, industrial, hospital, Caltrans, and military projects. I possess the skills to run teams, interface with engineering departments, and read plans and specifications. Pelren Electric has a long list of satisfied clients, particularly among our senior customers, many of whom received services at no charge.

I have earned a Master Electrician's certificate in New Orleans, Louisiana. I grew up in the small town of Klamath, California, where I attended school until third grade; it was more of a task than a joy. I spent my days exploring the woods around the lumber town, only returning home when I heard my father's whistle or saw my dog Spike racing toward me (he always knew my location), coming to fetch me at Dad's command. Besides that, I embraced a simple Huck Finn existence. The north coast of California was my home and continued to be so during my young adult years. I attended College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University. I spent ten years in Los Angeles, seven years in New Orleans, and then returned to northern California.
I hold the title of Master Electrician and also write. I have seen a few of my stories published in the U.S. and overseas, and I dedicate myself daily to crafting more for my audience. I enjoy writing, Austin-Healeys, Daimlers, MGs, motorcycles, and exploring new places. Traveling is one of my greatest passions.

Matt K.I contacted Rick based on the reviews here. He had a 2 month leadtime which I assumed meant he was a good electrician and in demand. I put a reminder in my calendar for two months.
A week after the two months had passed up I got in touch with him to ask when I could expect to see him. He said he was close to getting it worked out and he would let me know by that Friday.
After not hearing from him on Friday I got back in touch with him the following week. He asked for a complete list of the work I needed done, which I provided and then we had both phone conversations and email conversations.
Once he got the list of what I needed he seemed to loose interest. I don't know it the projects seemed too hard or what. If they were simple, I'd do them myself, as I'm quite capable of doing the easy stuff.
The biggest priority was to diagnose a problem we inherited in our old house of one circuit getting low voltage from some other circuit. I didn't ask for an estimate and was willing to pay his $100/hr rate to diagnose and fix that problem.
It's now been several weeks from our last conversation. I can only assume at this point he's not interested in tackling the job, but it would have been nice if he hadn't wasted 3 months of our time waiting.
