We had a terrible experience with Peaco Electric, which resulted in Scott Peaco not refunding any of our $1,500 deposit after we agreed to part ways with him. The job was estimated to cost $7,000 and we paid $1,500 up front. Scott showed up to our house sporadically, with multiple days in between despite him telling us he would be there. The only actual work he did in our house was updating three lights in our hallway and removing an electrical panel from the side of the house, which created more of a mess than there was to begin with. When it became clear to us that Scott was not capable of handing this job with professionalism, we asked for the deposit back. He requested that he keep $500 for the little work he did, and although it seemed generous we agreed. He told us he would return the rest of the deposit within several days. He did not. We contacted him by phone to request the deposit and he backtracked and told us he would not give us any of the deposit back.

This was a wholly disappointing experience and we do not want anyone else to wind up in the same situation we are in. We have reported Peaco Electric to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a result and an investigation is pending.
