Company Overview

Paumalu Electric has been a trusted name on Oahu’s North Shore for more than 45 years. Our expertise includes residential services like new builds, complete rewiring, renovations, and enhancements. We also provide installation of EV charging receptacles, saunas, cold plunges, lighting, device upgrades, AC power connections, and various other services. We also handle light commercial projects and have collaborated with organizations like the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

Paumalu Electric has been operating for over four decades. Located on Oahu's North Shore, we are committed to quality service. David Hancock, the owner, is a licensed Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He holds an ES certification, the designation for master Electricians in Hawaii.

I moved to Hawai'i in 1969 to ride the waves and pursue the life I had always dreamed of as a California surfer. I started out shaping and glassing surfboards, but after marrying my amazing wife, Peggy, and beginning a family, I opted for a new career path. I learned the trade from my best friend, Craig, who had just entered the electrical field before me. After becoming licensed, I established Paumalu Electric. I currently manage the company with three of my sons and two other talented individuals. While the company has grown and earned respect, I still make it a point to surf whenever I can.
