Patrick began his career as an apprentice electrician in 1984 with a major commercial contractor in Connecticut. Working 8 to 10 hours a day, throughout summer and winter, and attending night classes for 4 years to get his journeyman license, it was a significant achievement when that journeyman card came in the mail. With a few more years of hands-on experience, he earned his full contractor license in 1992 and has operated as an independent contractor since then. Moving to California in 2004 required additional schooling to become a licensed electrical contractor in CA. With over three decades of expertise and dedicated customer service, Patrick is proud to provide his knowledge to his clients. He’s the professional in Ojai and the nearby areas.

The guy is nuts. He walks in swing his tools and that's a good warning, because he is a tool. Never hire this man. He makes stuff up about what you asked him to do, overcharges by many hundreds of dollars and you have to deal with him by threatening legal action to get your money back. The guy is old and definitely loosing it. Woman beware!

I was just traveling down Sierra College Blvd. Aguy is a Patrick Electric van was driving in the left lane about 10
miles under the speed of traffic. I counted 11 cars including myself that had to get around him. He exploded at me threatening to ""get out and break my neck"" at the top of his lungs. I would not someone this inconsiderate with such ridiculous control issues anywhere near my house or a job site.
Just be careful with individuals like this.

Patrick and his crew installed a 50 amp circuit for my EV charger. They were quick, friendly, and did a great job making it a nice, clean install. The price was very fair as well. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Patrick and his crew were extremely courteous and gracious. The work was excellent and timely. We had a EV charger installed in the garage, ground some outlets and replaced a lot of wiring in the attic. Patrick is very friendly and knowledgeable. He and his guys went above and beyond our expectations, he even replaced our recessed lights for free. Absolutely honest and extremely fair. If we could give 10 stars we would. Highly recommended!!!

Prompt arrival. Top Quality work. I called Patrick to reconnect some exterior low-voltage lighting, and to do some fairly complex troubleshooting regarding old internal wiring and switching complexities. Patrick and his team were able to solve this problem that has been looked at by other local electricians and had been deemed non-fixable. They spent less than half an hour trouble shooting this complex problem, ran out to get highly specific components, and had everything installed, reconfigured, and working beautifully within an hour. My entire house now has modern lighting and technology. I can't recommend Patrick enough. Excellent, earnest, honest, electricians.

Excellent service and lots of smile. Patrick and team are honest, quick and beyond reliable. Such a great experience, they had my Solar Panels up to snuff in no time. I look forward to using Patrick for all of my electrical needs.

Amazing people. Patrick was busy, but promised me he would be here that day. He and his wife Lisa came after dinner, about 7pm. They really care about your issues and will do everything to be able to resolve them.

Patrick has helped my mom at the Golden Oaks park several times in the past and treated her very well. (Thank you Patrick)
As my mom has aged I have been spending time there helping her around the house, and when her dryer wasn't working last month I called Patrick thinking there was a problem with her 240v outlet (or the dryer itself...I didn't have a proper volt meter), and I was certain I had already reset all the circuit breakers. Turns out the stress being at my mom's or the all virus news or whatever had gotten to me... and a breaker reset actually DID fix it. I was embarrassed but Patrick was totally cool about it and made my ego feel a lil better. Oh and bonus he wore an N95 mask for the house call!
Cheers and good luck everyone with your electric needs!

I called Patrick because we moved into a little house in Oak View a few months ago and needed to get our washer & dryer set up in the garage. The house(we're renting) is old and has quirks. We were concerned that the electric panel was not up to date or safe and mentioned this over the phone. As well as wanting to change a light fixture in the kitchen. Our first phone conversation was fine, I explained all of this and he said to text him my address and he would stop by shortly. A few hours go by and I hadn't heard so I texted for an update. We got on the phone a second time and this time he did seem more agitated. He asked what I needed done, for the second time, and then went in on the fact that even if he didn't do any work today we had to pay him $80 for a quote. I knew we would at least be able to get the light fixture hung so I agreed. I suppose I should have recognized this as a red flag.
He got to the house an hour later and my husband greeted him and showed him our concerns. Had one look at our fuse box and said it's going to cost 3 grand, I'll write it on paper and take my check. My husband taken aback reminded him to have a look at the light in the kitchen. Once again he took one glance, just a glance, and said we didn't have what he needed to get the job done. His attitude was so appalling that I caught eyes with my husband absolutely shocked. He took zero time to explain why he couldn't hang the light, what we needed, when he could come back, didn't have a look at the existing light, NOTHING. I have changed light fixtures many times before and have never been met with this kind of indifference. I probed him a bit more, now feeling like he just came for the $80 check and not to help us with what we needed. My husband was shocked to see him talking to me so rudely and confronted him and asked if he was having a bad day. That there was no need to speak to us this way. Patrick acted shocked, I'm sure he rarely gets confronted on this inappropriate behavior. We had a calm conversation about how unnecessarily condescending he was being as I was writing him his check. He refused it, and left.
My husband and I were ready to let it go but then we receive this terrible and strange text this morning. Commenting on my husbands clothes and the fact that we are renters, or from La. A complete assumption on his part as neither of us are. To then go on and say he wouldn't know the color of the house because he is focused on doing his job. He seems confused as to what the objective of the text was. To insult or acknowledge and apologize. This text kind of incapsulates our experience with this man, and proves what he thought of us and why that gave him permission to treat us a certain way. Even going so far as saying that the next electrician we hire won't care if the house burns down once they know we are from La(which we aren't)! What a terrible thing to say. Call for directions? It's all so rude.
I'm extremely hurt and disappointed. I called an electrician knowing full well we were going to run into some issues and potentially need major work. We went local and small business to support of neighbors through a difficult time. Our landlord is going through a serious personal upheaval at the moment and asked us to coordinate everything where possible. Simple, kind communication would have cleared any concerns of his up.
I'm sorry to say this but this is not someone I'd want even within 20 miles of my home.

After thirty years the buried metal conduit serving my swimming pool corroded clear through so the wires were exposed. I discovered it while digging for a new gate. I called Patrick who came out the next day to talk about it and then two days later back with his crew to replace the entire circuit. All done in one day even though after they showed up I requested a change order that required getting different materials than we had originally discussed. We chose a different path from the main panel to the pool panel so now none of the conduit is buried; it's all accessible. What a relief to have this done so competently and so quickly, and it cost less than I thought it would. Yay.
