Recommended Customer Reviews

I'm usually pretty handy around the house, but dealing with certain 120 volt issues is where I stop. Carlos from Pat Murphy Electric came out, answered all my questions and solved my issues.
Agree with the other reviews that it's not the cheapest, but I was made aware of pricing before he began working.

Friendly technicians but incredibly expensive, and they don't give you any pricing information upfront. You just find out at the end of the visit that you owe hundreds of dollars for an unresolved issue. Go elsewhere.

$5000. New breaker box with rewiring. A/C is on a 15 amp and marked Furnace. Keeps shutting down. $300 minimum charge to come out on a weekend. 2 30 amp breakers are marked A/C. What the hell is on them?

This is a bait and switch.
When I initially called, they told me they charge $55 just to show up, which is less than what most electricians charge just to show up. They said the the electrician would tell me additional pricing information after looking at my house. I asked--is there any other standard pricing information you can tell me in advance so I can have an idea of what he might ultimately charge? They said no; completely depends on what's going on in your house.
When the electrician showed up, he said they do actually have a standard rate--one they could've easily disclosed to me by phone but chose not to. That standard rate is $285 for the first hour, and $385 for 2 hours--which is significantly higher than what most electricians charge.
This was exactly the kind of information I had asked them to provide me in advance by phone, and instead, they hid it and waived around a $55 to bait me in. Then they switched.

If you want to feel ripped off use Pat Murphy electric. Troubleshooting to see why an outlet didn't work took under two minutes and cost me $285 turned out someone had flipped the switch on the wall which I didn't know was related to the outlet because I just moved here.

Marcus was our electrician and he was awesome! He wore a mask the whole time and kept us updated as he repaired our electrical panel. We are incredibly impressed by their work and will use Pat Murphy again for our electrical needs.
