10/10 stars for Palmer electric which I do not own. Our house power failed last night after weeks of flickering. We called another company who claimed to have emergency service at midnight and stayed up for hours awaiting a call back. Finally we went to sleep to awake at 7 am and call Palmer. A qualified technician called us in 30 minutes (at no charge) and told us to call Duke to confirm it wasn't their issue. Duke said within an hour it was house not them. Palmer was out within an hour thereafter with ample communication during that time.

Come to find out the main line connected to our main service box had fried and could have actually caused a fire. Thankfully it didn't. Around the time (10 am) we had a prognosis from Palmer at a reasonable non-emergency rate the other company called us back but we already had a resolution. They would have charged us $250 for a service charge far above what Palmer charged.

We found out from Duke that Palmer is one out of three preferred vendors and we were in good hands and many other companies would have charged a service call without ruling out them first. All this to say we are Palmer customers for life. I will also talk to Palmer about making their yelp say they have 24 hour service which deterred us from calling them first as yelp said they were closed versus the other company who obviously didn't really have emergency afterhours service.

Palmer just left our house at 1:15 pm. Our appointment was the 1st morning call at 8:00-8:30 a.m. They didn't call, test or email. When we called them, and ""I'm sorry (the FL motto) was all we got. An hour later, the electrician appeared.

Our electrician, Jean, was great. Friendly, professional and skilled.

The company, however, knowing they were more than four hours late, had the temerity to charge for another 30 minutes ($90) because, while the work was done, my partner made the mistake of asing one final question which put us moments over their automated counter. This made an estimate call double in price. We plan to speak to a manager regarding this, but initial efforts fall on deaf ears.

HARD PASS on a company that can so callously and unthinkingly treat the masses because they've been successful at it. We are a service provider hub here; we're happy to extol the virtues of those worthy of it, and we won't stop warning people away from poor service.

I had a good experience with Palmer. Our neighbor's tree fell on our power line, ripping our electric service from the side of our house. Palmer was able to come out the next day, make the repairs, and coordinate with OUC and the city inspector to get us back up and running quickly. The electrician, Brandon, did a lot of hard work outside on a miserably hot day and was very professional. The office communicated well and was very efficient with the city permitting process.
Although I'm certain the job turned out to be more involved than they originally thought (due to some previous work from another company that had hidden issues) the final bill was consistent with the original estimate.

I would certainly call them again.

Reasonably rates for a knowledgeable electrician. Faulty outlets were repaired within an hour. Service call was as I was expecting so normally I would just rate at 4 star but I am going with 5 stars because of the scheduler Jessica. She actually cares about providing a quality service and made scheduling easy. I hope Palmer Electric keep up this standard.

Fred and Michael responded to my concerns over kitchen and bathroom light switches and flickering lights. They were prompt, on time and knowledgeable about the issues. They brought the needed supplies and switch plates (I explained the issues over the phone), corrected the problems and made me feel comfortable with the problem solved. They made recommendations/suggestions on some potential additional electrical work. Happy with their work, professionalism, and they were personable. Good job guys!

I'd really like to leave a review based on the quality of work they do but competency papers to be a high bar. I scheduled an estimate on 4/11 with window of 8-12. The appointment was apparently changed to 4/12 by the technician coming to give the estimate. We met on 4/12, he apologized for the scheduling change (training related) and later that day I had an estimate. I accepted the estimate and shortly after received an email with a date and time to perform the work. I responded to the email, with work to be done on 4/22 arriving between 8-930am. I also called the office on 4/12 to confirm my scheduled date and time, and was even given the name of the technician who would be performing the work. Now it's 4/22 and i call the office just before 9:30 to ensure someone was still coming (maybe running late) only to be told that I wasn't on the schedule. The same person who confirmed my date/time on 4/12 now tells me I'm not scheduled. Every review on their website is 5 stars, so if your time isn't valuable you still might luck out.

Called for a service appointment on a Sunday morning during a tropical storm warning. An electrician contacted me within 30 mins to get information on the service need. I explained what was going on and that is was affecting or A/C. He asked me to send pictures of related items ie breakers, service panel, Daman was at the house in about an hour. He was polite, knowledgeable and very professional. Problem fixed and A/C running great. I highly recommend this business and Daman. Very happy all the way around.
