I originally wanted to hire Pete, but he was not available so Pete referred me to his father Patrick, who according to Pete, is the master electrician and taught him everything he knows.

Patrick and his other son Dave came to my house to provide an estimate. They were genuinely likable fellows, and provided detailed description of what they would do, and even did some testing on the spot to ensure their diagnosis were correct, something the other electricians didn't bother doing. Patrick provided the quote within the time promised, and although his quote was higher, he was willing to come down closer to what the other electricians estimated.

Patrick and his son Dave performed the work, which I thought was very thorough and high quality. We had trouble with the motion sensor of a security light, and they spend sometime troubleshooting and testing it before determining the problem to be product defect. Patrick informed me that if I replace the unit, they would come back and reinstall the new unit for a nominal charge. I guess my reaction must have indicated to them that I was displeased with the situation, for over a week later, I received a note and a check from Patrick returning the extra amount I had pay them, even though the fault was due to the defective product and not their work.

I was not expecting Patrick's note and check at all, so gesture showed that he is a true gentleman and a class act. I surely will call on his services in the future and I can recommend him highly.

This fine electrician is also a wonderful individual. He's busy, so you may have to wait for his work, but Pat Erwin is a pro's pro -- a gentleman and a scholar (no exaggeration).
