One Good Electrician began by Noel Munoz, the owner, a former Electronic Circuit Technician for a leading audio/video manufacturer and subsequently in defense communications. A career transition took place in 2002 and the foundation for One Good Electrician was established.

In the years that followed, Noel Munoz gained knowledge and skills in building structures to successfully install, integrate, and troubleshoot complete electrical systems in both residential and commercial environments.

In 2008, California issued a contractor's license, and One Good Electrician officially launched. Since then, we have been providing high-quality service at reasonable rates to the residents and businesses of the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.

My roots are in the San Fernando Valley, not too long ago; I spent my childhood in Canoga Park, CA, and completed high school in 1992, and earned an A.S.E.E. in 1996.

As a young child, I spent summers with my father on construction sites (it was acceptable back then). I often played on the job site unless I was helping him with small tasks or passing him tools. I loved it! This is where my journey truly began.

Shortly after high school, I started my career in electronics for a local television repair shop in Van Nuys, California. While I was in college, I discovered a job opportunity as an engineering tech at a leading audio/video manufacturer in Agoura Hills, California.

In 2002, despite my enthusiasm for electronics, I became tired of the cubicle and test bench. I knew what I wanted to pursue. This passion had been with me for a long time.

Noel was great. Came in and was professional, on time, dressed for the job, and was even able to do a last minute second project. His prices are great for a pro, licensed electrician, and being licensed can definitely reflect the level of dedication and work ethic you'll be getting! The little things and attention to detail looked great too... from being able to give me a general estimate on the phone to cutting a precisely measured hole in my wall for a new socket. I've removed the socket plates in the past to find sloppy holes behind them. Cleap was great and he was out in no time. I'd recommend him.

5 out of 5 stars because Noel is incredibly knowledgeable, crafted, creative and SKILLED!

After years of needing to update our aging electrical main panel and home re-wiring, we finally got it done. Finding and selecting an electrician without having any background in electrical matters, I worried about finding a professional who was knowledgeable in the field, familiar with city requirements, fair pricing, honest and delivered quality work. Researching and searching area electricians and contractors - I came across NOEL from ONE GOOD ELECTRICIAN on Yelp. From the first telephone inquiry to the final walk thru and switching on our new lights, we were completely SATISFIED and overwhelmed with gratitude.

Noel M - is one heck of ONE GOOD ELECTRICIAN! He is the constant professional, extremely knowledgeable with electrical needs and requirements, kept in compliance with the City of Glendale regulations, licensing and practical recommendations, but also aesthetically/design wise on what 'looked' best. As someone who had little knowledge about the various ways I could layout the electrical outlets around the house, Noel offered creative suggestions about what would work and would not work based on our family's lifestyle and living habits. Noel M. truly knows his craft with practical and creative ideas. His work ethic was admirable as he worked during the hottest days late last summer when the temperatures exceeded 102+ he was up and under the house simply 'getting the job done' within the promised time and with quality every step of the way. It was great to find a professional who takes pride with the details of his work, dedication, trustworthy and at the end of the day making sure all that was promised was delivered. With all sincerity, One Good Electrician deserves a 5-star rating, plus some! A complete electrical panel was installed, rewiring done, recessed and under shelf lights added which truly made my house a HOME! As a woman, I felt comfortable having him and his loyal assistant in my house, for those that have that concern. Thank you Noel for your diligence, creativity, affordability and great professional care and courtesy! Looking forward on working with you again!

This review is overdue. I had what I would think would be a nightmare job for an electrician. I wish I had before and after pictures to show. I had bought a large property about five years back which was a foreclosure. It had stairs running throughout the back landscaping. Throughout the retaining walls and stairs behind the house were about 40 holes with electrical wires sticking out where lights should have been installed. I have no idea how long the property sat like this before I bought it with those wires just hanging out all over the property with the sun beating down on them. But it took me five years of remodeling before I got to this project, and it had probably been like that for at least five years before I got here.

So, I wanted lights put into the walls and stairs where there were supposed to be lights but somebody had never finished the job. Noel took on this job and charged a reasonable price considering all the work that went into it. Consider that wiring is run underground all over the property to run power to these lights. Noel found the wires and how they had been run and, where they had been cut or weren't working properly anymore, he set up a new power source. He installed lights and managed to get them all up and working from one switch inside my back door. Not only that, but some of the stairs had not been finished properly so the holes needed to be made bigger and then the stairs had to be patched and he even found a couple guys to do that work! Really above and beyond customer service.

Don't hesitate to call Noel with any of your electrical needs.

Not only did Noel take care of our power outlet issues, he also replaced all of the electrical switches throughout our home as part of a remodel we were doing. He was fast and efficient even though he took his time and did everything quietly while our two year old son and two week old baby girl were both napping! He was super respectful and really nice. I would absolutely use Noel every time.

I highly recommend ""One Good Electrician."" Noel is straightforward, reliable, and did a great job! I needed an electrician to fix some electrical problems caused by a previous electrician. Before meeting Noel, I had 6 other electricians come out and provide a bid. I hired two of them - one did not show for the job and the other tried to scam his way into doing more electrical work than needed (see my review about electrician Rick Jackson). Noel was straightforward about the work needed, his price was reasonable (compared to the other 6 bids, his price was on the lower end), and he did a fantastic job. After Noel completed the work, I passed the city electrical inspection with ease. Thank you ""One Good Electrician"" for doing a great job!

Wish I could give 10 stars .This morning Noel gave me my lowest bid for installing wiring for a new spa. When I asked him when he could start, he said "" now"". It was a complicated job from the front of the house to the back because there was no crawl space or attic to hide the wiring. he did outstanding work and the hot tub arrived while he worked. I was able to use the spa tonight thanks to One Good Electrician. Very good guy!!

He was great! He showed up right on time! He was very nice, and super knowledgable!
I didn't realize what I needed in order to install a ceiling fan, Noel used his own parts to finish the job and didn't charge me a penny more than what we agreed upon!
He did the job quickly and was very respectful of my home! Everything was completely covered up during the job, and there was not a trace of him having been here when he left, except the great ceiling fan of course!
Not only will I be using him again, but I would absolutely recommend him to any friend who needs electric work.

Ps. In my experience, he returns calls promptly!

Noel just left my place, he's super nice, professional, fixed my problem, and even gave me a deal lower than expected.
Oh and he is fluent in Spanish, how cool is that?
He fixed a faulty breaker and gave me advice for the future, yes Noel gave me advice for the future of my breaker box which is dying.
Honestly it is hard to find responsible, honest people like him, PLEASE give this guy a call and save yourself a headache.
He basically told me that my home could have caught fire due to the faulty breaker box, but he fixed it and everything is back to normal... Oh and he took the time to explain in simple terms about the issue.
Thank you Noel, now go check out my sculpting/designing work on google under Erick Sosa :)
In short Noel is truly "" One good electrician"".

I am going to leave this review short so people read it. I hired Noel to do some extensive electrical work for me. Noel was extremely professional, courteous and organized during the scope of the project. What impressed me most was he was able to roll with a couple of changes I made to scope of the project in the middle of it but it didn't even phase him and he was very accommodating and understanding for my change of plans.

He completed the project on time, actually ahead of time and within the quote/budget he initially proposed. I cant express how pleased I am with the work Noel did and will happily hire him again for other projects that come up. Noel is not one good electrician, but one GREAT electrician.

Noel rocks! He responded to my request for a quote within hours and was available the next day to come by and write up an estimate. After he handed me the estimate, I asked him when he was available and he said... ""now!"" And that was that... He had his guy come and they spent all day wiring up my house with everything I asked for and it's AWESOME! Will definitely be calling him again to do my backyard!
