We have used Odom Electric on three separate projects at our home and each time have been very pleased with the work Rob has done. The first project was installing lighting in our back patio room as well as running electrical throughout our outdoor kitchen and upgrading our electrical box. Next he updated electrical on an outlet in a bedroom wall. Most recently he completed a lighting and electrical upgrade job on our kitchen reface project including setting up dedicated circuits, recommending and installing under cabinet lighting and adding/upgrading outlets. Communication is always clear, he ensures work is done in a timely manner and in line with our vision, he is conscientious about keeping the work area clean and he's a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend Odom Electric and will use him again on our next project.

I highly recommend Odom Electric. My husband and I embarked (foolishly) on a DIY remodel for our kitchen and living space. We needed extensive electrical work because, not only were we installing new light fixtures, we thought it would be fun to rearrange our kitchen appliances, move receptacles, move our dryer, add numerous receptacles and light switches, install a new electrical panel, install recessed lighting, put up security lights, and run electricity to our shed in the backyard.

Rob did not miss a beat--even when I told him we had no plans and then quickly drew an electrical work map on graph paper. He was flexible and super pleasant to work with. Months after his work was done, I ran into a little snag trying to wrap up our work, and he was back to my kitchen in record time.

He finished the work in one day and took care of coordinating with pg & e, patching the wall and painting with matching paint. Rob also helped us handle a demanding inspector request and was able to convince the inspector with his workarounds.

Rob Odom saved us!!! I work out of town and Rob responded for my wife regarding an issue we had with our solar and house power integration. Rob did an excellent job with installing a new electrical outlet in our laundry room and securing (boxing?) as well as cleaned up exposed wiring in our garage that was done by the previous owner of our new house. His work is very clean. If there was a mess at all, he cleaned up after himself and I really appreciate that.

Unfortunately, the reason for the 3 stars and not 5 is because the main reason that we called him was to fix a problem with the outlets in our kitchen. There is some sort of short that disabled most of the outlets. Can't make coffee, cook rice, toast bread, use the microwave.... it is almost an essential part of every day life. He tried to troubleshoot the problem and even had gotten one (out of 4) of the outlets to work. He was short on time that day and told me that he'd give us a call to set up another time to finish up his work... but after one week of waiting, we never heard from him.

Not upset that he couldn't finish his work that day, but wish he could have at least called and told us his situation or just told us if he couldn't do the work that we asked him to do. At least it would have saved us time and we would have had someone else come to fix the problem for us. Instead, we were left hanging for a week unable to use half of our kitchen.
