Rob did an excellent job with installing a new electrical outlet in our laundry room and securing (boxing?) as well as cleaned up exposed wiring in our garage that was done by the previous owner of our new house. His work is very clean. If there was a mess at all, he cleaned up after himself and I really appreciate that.

Unfortunately, the reason for the 3 stars and not 5 is because the main reason that we called him was to fix a problem with the outlets in our kitchen. There is some sort of short that disabled most of the outlets. Can't make coffee, cook rice, toast bread, use the microwave.... it is almost an essential part of every day life. He tried to troubleshoot the problem and even had gotten one (out of 4) of the outlets to work. He was short on time that day and told me that he'd give us a call to set up another time to finish up his work... but after one week of waiting, we never heard from him.

Not upset that he couldn't finish his work that day, but wish he could have at least called and told us his situation or just told us if he couldn't do the work that we asked him to do. At least it would have saved us time and we would have had someone else come to fix the problem for us. Instead, we were left hanging for a week unable to use half of our kitchen.

I was having my kitchen remodeled and my contractor recommended upgrading my house to a 200amp circuit. The quote they came back with was almost 4 times their estimate so I decided to look for my own electrician

Rob was recommended to me by a friend that works at PG&E. Note: this was not a recommendation from PG&E, but they had good experiences with Rob.

He was one of 5 electricians I called: all recommended by friends. Two never returned my calls, one was inadequate for the job, and the last one never completed my quote. I was beginning to feel like I would have better luck finding a unicorn. All of that said: I had a great experience with Rob.

Rob came to my house and took down all of the details of the work I wanted done and made a suggestion: I have a plug-in hybrid car so he suggested adding a 220 outlet for a car charger.

He got back to me with a quote within the week and it was 33% lower than my contractor. I signed the contract and had to put the work on hold due to issues with the general contractor. Once I was ready to begin the work Rob made himself available and did excellent work. He took care of all of the permits and did the work he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it.

If you need any electrical work done I cannot recommend Rob highly enough.

Rob Odom was recommended to me by 2 friends. He and his crew were great. We had to rewire the whole house which was a huge job and they had to work in tight crawl spaces and very hot attic. Our schedule was very tight but Rob came thru for us. They did a tremendous job. We're very pleased with the quality of their work and the price. Top notch service. Highly recommended.

I am the supremely lucky one to have persevered long enough to find these guys. Truly, I had work to do and several unsavory issues with other electricians. I experienced indifference, high prices and lack of customer service from many competing electricians. Rob is courteous, competent, trustworthy and patient. All went so perfectly I have now have him scheduled for more work. And I'm going to use him in the future for all of my apartments and homes. Enough said!

We needed AC power receptacles installed in our building, and the electricians that our landlords having been using for years were closing shop, which we weren't aware of until a few days before our deadline. I found Odom on Yelp with a whole lot of great reviews, and I explained our scenario to Rob. He arranged a site visit and got his proof of insurance and all the necessary paperwork to our building management, along with a quote, within a couple of days. His guys showed up right on time, explained their plan of what and how they were going to proceed, finished within a couple hours, called me to demonstrate that everything worked as it should, and it all looked tidy and well-done. Their prices were reasonable, they did a top-notch job, and I think just as important - every employee I dealt with presented themselves as knowledgeable and professional. Thanks to Odom we were able to keep our project on-track. I've recommended them to our building management so hopefully they'll get more work from them, and we would surely call on them again.

I had Odom Electric rewire everything in my house, from the bathroom to the bedrooms even my garage. Literally everything. All I have to say is that the work is very proficient, exudes quality and was done at great price too. Excellent work, excellent.

I would totally recommend Odom electric. They came off very trust worthy, and displayed tons of integrity in their work ethic. Odom electric was up front with all their pricing and provided a great forecast of what they wanted to do and followed through.

Odom Electric EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

My wife and I own a townhouse that was built in the 70's and was in need of some SERIOUS updating. Because of the poor lighting and outdated electrical box we decided the first thing we needed to update was the electrical.

When I contacted Rob he was quick to reply and we set up an appointment for him to come out and check out our place. He listened to everything we wanted and gave us his expert advise. He was prompt to send our estimate and we were eager to get the work started. Rob was great with answering all my questions and safety concerns. We were even able to make a few last minute adjustments based off our budget.

Here are some things that stand out about the team at Odom Electric:

- Their team is super friendly and professional. The treated my house with respect and did a SUPER job cleaning before they left for the day. They were great with dealing my unsocialized loud dogs as well.

- We had recessed lighting installed in addition to a few other upgrades. The damage to my drywall (very little) was not what I expected. There are just a few areas I need to patch up and Rob and his team did whatever they could to not create any extra damage. They did a great job securing the areas they did have to open up and there were no safety concerns for my young toddler.

- The work is amazing! My 70's townhouse now looks modern just because of the lighting.

- They were finished quicker than the time quoted.

There are some additional projects that we might do down the road. It's great to know that we can depend on Odom Electric!

Odom Electric is the best company I've worked with since I bought my house 14 years ago. I've had plumbers, painters, roofers, repipers, gardeners, fencers, sprinkler installers, locksmiths, tilers, and various contractors. None of them can compare with the team of men at Odom. Not only are the men attractive, personable, extremely polite and considerate, they are reliable and consistent. If they say they'll be there at 8:00, they are there, waiting for me to get up and let them in. They have listened to everything I wanted and made it happen. That includes their making suggestions that might work better, and they have always been right. The owner is hands on and always available. The foreman is very experienced and made many suggestions that I hadn't even considered, that helped me solve many difficult problems, some of which I didn't even know I had. I trusted them alone in my house with my dog ..... and that's a big deal! The thing I liked the most was that they operate strategically. They see the big picture, so that problems were considered and prevented before they ever happened. My house was built in 1906. It's a ""charming"" (meaning old) craftsman style house. It's all lath and plaster walls, with knob and tube wiring that worked off a panel of old screw in fuses. They updated all the wiring in all three stories of my house and my free standing garage. Now I have an up-to-date, up-to-code, inspector approved panel of switches which are each dedicated to a certain appliance, or certain area of the house. I now feel totally safe in my house, as well as safe to rent or safe to sell. I'm one happy client.

I called Rob to change out a faulty motion-sensor switch in our utility room. He arrived the same day. I had bought the wrong replacement switch, so he went to the home supply store to pick the correct item, installed it, and charged me the minimum plus parts. Great deal and quality workmanship and service. I'll call him again.
