I found Ochoa Electric when I needed an electric panel upgrade and they gave a competitive bid and fit me into their schedule in time for my SDG&E appointment. Other electricians had said it was a complicated installation but Ochoa has a ""can do"" attitude. Their crew is experienced, knowledgeable, and efficient and found creative solutions for obstacles that troubled the other bidders.

I was so happy with their work that I hired them to rewire my old house! They grounded all the outlets, solved the mysteries of my circuits which caused power outages last winter, added new recessed lighting, and created a map of my circuits and then dedicated one for the kitchen and add a few new ones that I needed for modern appliances. They also sorted out some anomalies, such as the microwave being on the same circuit as the laundry room, and paired it more logically with the stove. Then last week when my water heater exploded, they found time to come on short notice to set up a new circuit for my new electric water heater.

What I love the most about this team is that they alert me to problems and ask me before doing anything that's not in the plan. Then they're willing to troubleshoot problems and find a variety of solutions if I don't like the first idea they offer me, versus so many contractors who just do whatever without even alerting me to an issue and asking my opinion. And they show up on time in professional-looking uniforms.

My experience with Ochoa Electric could have been better.
I installed a smart doorbell with a video camera which made a buzzing sound when the it's doorbell was pressed and then eventually it wouldn't connect to my wifi.
I called Ochoa Electric and agreed to the $225 cost to send a tech to troubleshoot as they were the only organization in the area that would send someone that same day. The tech arrived and did some troubleshooting and concluded the transformer to the doorbell was outputting 28v, too much voltage for the doorbell therefore causin the buzzing sound and that the doorbell was fried and the reason it won't connect to wifi. The tech suggested I buy a lower voltage transformer and either install it myself or call them back to have it installed. I go to home depot and tell a rep my situation and that I need a lower voltage transformer. The rep asks if I live in the newly developed homes and says that new homes are typically installed with transformers that can have their output adjusted by adjusting the wires connected to it. I go home and notice I have a transformer that can indeed have its voltage lowered. I adjust the wires to output 16v and now the smart doorbell works and makes an almost unnoticeable buzzing sound. I basically paid $225 to be told to buy a new transformer. For that amount, the tech should have made the wire changes, but nope. Thanks to the rep at home depot I saved a bit of money and time. I should have just called home depot to come help me out.

Everything was fantastic. We had an intermittent outage in one circuit breaker and all attached to it. The electrician arrived on time and was friendly. He was perfectly knowledgeable and solved the problem quickly. The communication and billing was all very easy. Nice work!

Thank you thank you thank you for finding the problem and fixing it. So glad to have power back on where we needed it. Technician was knowledgeable. Our old house threw him some curve balls but he knocked them out of the park. I was very concerned we had to tear into the walls but thankfully that was avoided and we have our power back to normal. I would absolutely recommend Ochoa Electric to anyone out there. The electrician who installed my bathroom vent fans was professional and very courteous. On top of that, the quote I had received for the job was lower than what it was supposed to be. Ochoa Electric stood by it's original quote. Most businesses I believe would have tried to walk it back.

My experience with Ochoa Electric has been very good. I was looking for a company to run two power outlets, hang my tv/soundbar and run hdmi cables through the wall above my fireplace. They were very responsive and came out to do the work i requested very quickly.

Jose and Clint came out to do the job. They were very friendly people, wore masks the entire time and did excellent work. I will be using Ochoa Electric in the future as i have a few other projects i need taken care of.
