I have a very complicated electrical system, which is over 30 years old, in my home. I contacted five electrician through Yelp to find an electrician to help with a three way switch. In my request I asked all the companies to respond with rates and availability'. Only two responded with the requested information. One's hourly rate was ridiculous. Jim at OC was the only one who responded with a reasonable rate. He also requested if I could send him pictures of anything I had showing him the wiring and control center of my system. He later responded back that the system was older than any system he had every seen. In the meantime I had reached out to Leviton to find out what switches replaced the switches in my system and was told there were no replacements. With that I just decided to use only one switch instead of a three way switch; which I did myself. Jim offered to come look at the system. He was the only electrician who seemed interested and helpful. If I have a need for an electrician in the future, I would not hesitate to hire OC Pro.

I called and spoke with Jim on the phone, and he was just awesome.

I just had a new house fan installed a month ago. While running it today it all of a sudden shut down. I went out to my breaker box and sure enough it was tripped. I flipped it off and on and.....bummer still tripped. So I called an electrician already girding my wallet in fear.

Turns out there was no need! Not only did Jim hang with me on the phone while I crawled through my attic looking for the issue, when I did find the problem area he continued talking me through testing stuff to try and figure out if I really needed him to come out or not. Which as it turns out I did not, because the issue was due to improper fan installation.

So even though I didn't use Jim this time he's made me a customer for sure. I've never had an electrician talk to me and give me so much info on the phone without insisting to come out to the house. That type of customer service and honesty is hard to find these days and it goes a long way in my book.

When I do have my next issue come up you can be sure I'll be calling Jim again. Oh and on a side note his price is very reasonable so be sure you talk with him he gave me a good breakdown just off a couple of pictures I sent him, all very reasonable.

Made contact with Jim, who was always responding quickly to my texts. I made and appt. from a referral and Jim set the date. Checked in with me prior, and showed up on time. I thought 1 person was coming but 2 people came. I figured 2 people get the job done at the same time as 1 working twice as long, so the bill wasn't a shock. I didn't realize that you pay for 2 people at shop rates, but it works out to be the same if it's just 1 person working longer. They were both great, polite and wore masks the entire time. They were fast and very clean. The best part is they came up with a design idea that is better than we had originally planned and I will for sure use them again. Super responsive, showed up on time, texted prior to arrival, and clean. I had to reschedule at last minute, and they squeezed me in and it worked with my schedule! I am going to use them again and have them install 2 can lights next week! Great company. Highly recommend them!

Requested a quote through Yelp and I got a response within a few hours and they scheduled me for a few days later, but actually texted me the same day and asked if they could come in the afternoon. The electrician came on time and was so efficient and neat and quick. They had the lowest estimate for installing my fan. Great experience.

Jim got back to me within 10 minutes and was able to come out the next morning. Very helpful and professional. Aussie was my service tech and he was very helpful and showed me what he did. I would highly recommended them and will use them again.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Had Jim out yesterday. He arrived late. Seemed a bit disorganized. Apparently, someone else was originally scheduled to come out. I guess they got tied up elsewhere.

Jim did nothing other than ""checkout"" the problems I'm having. Declared that he was ""too old"" to crawl under my deck to check the wiring, there. He checked the power in a couple of outlets, in the house. That was it.

I had expected the job to be completed the same day, since they were supposed to be here originally between 2 and 3pm. I believe Jim showed up around 4:30pm.

As he left, he scheduled me for today, between 2 and 3pm.

Well, at 3:20pm I had heard nothing from him. I texted and asked, ""Hey Jim. Is someone coming?"". He texted back, ""No, Were still held up for the rest of the day at our large job"". I texted back, ""So, you're blowing me off?"". Never heard a word from him.

COULD HE BE MORE UNCARING AND UNPROFESSIONAL?

Guess a small job doesn't interest him. Wish he had said that, on the spot ... rather than tying me up all day ... for the second day.
My goodness. It takes a lot to cause me to post a negative review. But Jim's behavior was totally unacceptable. Beware!

I'm writing this review as another electrician, from a reputable company ... Green Electric ... is performing the work. Came out within a half hour and has everything I need, on his truck. THE WAY IT SHOULD BE DONE!
