Bought a Tesla and needed a charger installed. Contacted 10+ via email from the list Tesla provided. Ruben was one of the first one that replied. Selected OC Electric for the reason of responsiveness with the hundreds of questions I have (on a weekend!). And reviews. Plus a little lower quote was great!

Installation day arrived - two technicians came on time. Hats off to these two guys being patient with me on deciding where to install the charger. :) Once decided where to install, they installed the charger in less than 1/2 an hour. Awesome job!

I have worked with Ruben on 2 separate occasions so far. He has given reasonable quotes for both jobs, was on time, professional and has completed the projects in a timely manner.

The first was to troubleshoot a bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't working. He gave me a reasonable quote to get it fixed and had some of his colleagues come to fix it on a later date. There was a slight miscommunication as we needed ductwork to be installed as well, but this wasn't completed by his colleagues. When I asked about the ductwork, Ruben acknowledged he had forgotten to include that in the job description and sent his colleagues again on the same day to rectify the issue.

The second job was to fix a different electrician's work.
I had a GFCI outlet and circuit that was tripped but wouldn't reset. None of the breakers were tripped. It was controlling lights and a wall A/C unit so I needed it fixed the same day. I had tried to call OC electric but they were all booked for the day so I called a different electrician who was available to come out that same day. That electrician started pulling out a couple of the circuit breakers without giving me a quote and then when I asked for a quote, gave me an outrageous quote for replacing a GFCI and a circuit breaker. I needed someone to validate this person's quote so I quickly called Ruben for a quick consult and asked Ruben what he would charge. Ruben said he could do it for less than half the price if I could wait another day. After that, the other electrician was able to come down on his price so I proceeded with the fix. The other electrician finished the job but after he left, we found a different circuit of outlets that suddenly stopped working when it was working previously and we did nothing to trip it. So I called Ruben and he was able to come out to take a look. He found that the other electrician had pulled out a wire from a different circuit breaker and capped it off. Ruben quickly fixed this issue for us as well, charging us only the troubleshooting cost.

Based on these experiences I can tell Ruben is a hardworking and trustworthy electrician and I feel comfortable calling him for any future electrical work. I also appreciate that I'm able to call him any time for a quick question or consultation. I know that we will be calling him first for our future electrical jobs. I would definitely recommend Ruben and OC Electric for any electrical work.

I requested a date to come out and install the new lights and I received an automated text message with the confirmation date and estimated arrival window. We had a ceiling fan installed and it was the best experience we've had so far with work done on our home. He was within the estimated time frame, covered my 2 daughters beds and flooring with plastic and cleaned up after he was done. He was in and out within an hour.
