Rich at Northern Lights had was very timely in getting a bid and getting his team on our large project of lighting up our entire house with LED lighting and miscellaneous electrical. He's team was very friendly, courteous, professional and efficient. The quality of work was outstanding as they put 28 recessed lighting cans and had to rewire and add numerous switches; they did it with almost no impact to the existing walls. They also put outlets behind flat panel TV and cleaned up all of the wiring for very clean look. We also had several other outlets added outside for additional power access. They repaired, textured and painted the drywall where two sconces were removed and included other minor touchups to drywall. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Pricing was also
very competitive as well.

I almost never do reviews....but this time I felt compelled. I have now used Rich and his team at Northern Lights twice, and both times, I was super impressed with the quality of their work, and their responsiveness, and expertise. They took meticulous care of our home, and truly were a one stop shop. Not only were they able to install lights, switches, and even a Flat Panel tv into a wall (yes, actually built into the wall!), they matched the texture of the walls, and even repainted, perfectly matching the existing colors! The second time we used them, we also had a very obscure color for the switch plates, and they searched all over until they found a perfect match with the rest of the house. Very impressive.

The second time I used them, I didnt even feel compelled to get a second bid. While I know they may not always be the cheapest, if you want to feel confident that they will do a quality job, Rich and his Northern Lights crew are simply the best. All of his staff are courteous, professional, and even make recommendations that result in an overall better result.

We had an excellent experience with Rich and his wonderful crew - Ruben, Alex and Edgar. They were fantastic and really listened to our wishes, made great suggestions and then together, their team worked on bringing our kitchen to life again. We had a dated fluorescent box light on the ceiling that they removed and put in cans, pendants and then decorative trim - they did it all from start to finish including patching, texturing and painting that area - and they also added under-cabinet lighting. Now we have this amazing warm inviting area that we really enjoy. Highly recommend Rich and his staff. We will be working with them on our next project for sure!

Very happy with Rich and his great crew at Northern Electric. Polite, prompt and clean..I had a couple of things that didn't look right and they were right on it...
In fact, my ceiling fan (with light) just quit on us and may be giving them a call...don't know if they handle replacing cathedral ceiling fans??

I called Northern Lights Electric from one of their flyers and was quite pleased. I had them convert my kitchen neon lights to the canned LED lights. Their work staff did a thorough and beautiful job. All were professional and friendly. I also had a couple LED lights added to an office/bedroom which required some extra efforts due to new wiring which had to be added plus changed out a few hallway lights. All were done to high satisfaction. They showed up when promised and did a thorough cleanup job. I would use them again when a need arises and highly recommend them.

I found this company, Northern Lights Electric, in a local publication. I was looking to update the '80's florescent kitchen framed lights to modern recessed lighting with crown molding. [The finished project exceeded our expectations--it's beautiful.] I also had a few other electrical improvements I was considering. Chemistry and trust is very important when I am allowing someone access to my home. From the first meeting with the owner, Rich Gobbell, you are engaged with a professional who is passionate about his craft. In addition to the primary project, he listened to my various home improvement ideas (some electrical, some not) and offered his ""can do"" suggestions to achieve these projects plus offered some fantastic independent recommendations to modernize my home (e.g. remove medicine cabinet in bathroom [texture/paint] while changing out bathroom light fixture & fan). His crew is also professional. I appreciated this company's easy to understand line item bid approach that allowed me to prioritize projects. Our home was left each work day clean and dust free; something I did not really put much thought into until one day I came home mid-day to discover they utilize floor protection throughout home and dust reduction plastic draping (nothing Rich even mentioned but it speaks to their quality). If I could offer more than five stars, this would be the company that deserves it; so impressed with the craftsmanship, the communication and overall positive interaction with Rich that I signed up for Yelp just to offer this endorsement for anyone looking for a company to allow into their home to partner with on electrical and home improvement projects.

Amazing service! Fast installation and so neat and tidy. Everyone was extremely professional. Rich did a personal walk through at the end and both he and the electrician (wish I could remember his name) said this was the best part - watching the customer oooh and ahhh over the transformation. Had a very minor tweak to the end result and Rich sent someone back the very next day. I also added to the work mid-job and there was no delay - they were flexible and efficient. I can't recommend them enough. You won't be disappointed.
