They came to the house to estimate the work but never followed up with a quote despite email reminders.

Update 5/3:

I was told I would receive a fixed quote for the items that were well defined & scope was clear. Rest would be on time & material basis. However I never received any follow through on the initial fixed quote that was promised. Tried reaching them a few times on email & phone and then gave up. Maybe they got too busy.

Interesting phenomenon I see now a days with Yelp reviews - companies which get to high ratings due to good service, they then struggle to scale to the customer work load that ensues with higher ratings and subsequently can't handle the growth.

I think it was divine intervention that brought Travis Johnson to me one day in Lafayette. He parked his truck across the street to do some Electrical work for the City of Lafayette, and I was moving out of my house that day. The charity group that hauled away a ton of my stuff, would not take some of my give-away furniture. There were some heavy pieces in that pile, like an entertainment unit and a heavy desk, just to mention a few. I had a treasured cobblers bench that my grandfather made by hand, that I just had no room for at my new place. Luckily for me, Travis came to me with a beaming smile and a very friendly manner, and ended up hauling away all of that furniture. He made a couple of trips back to my house, and was a gentleman of his word. Very professional and trustworthy. And the Cinderella ending to my story is that he found a home for that treasured cobblers bench - he gave it to the oldest shoe repair (cobbler) store in Lafayette. Apparently, Travis knows all of the business owners in town! What a sweetheart!

Working with Randy & Darell is a pleasure! Just completed a number of upgrades to an older residence and the whole process was great. After initial consultation (timely response) they were on the job right away, very experienced, and completed the work as promised. A number of challenges arose, due to the older construction, and they talked through several options with us to best address the problems, all on site and with great flexibility. Super guys to have in your home, which is important on top of their experience, good humor and very competitive pricing. Can't say enough and it feels good to support a local business doing good! Travis and Randy were amazing to work with and they're gonna be my go-to resource in the future. In the past they have also helped us with drainage issues and in rebuilding a portion of our deck, and they've always been the ideal help we needed.
