I was experiencing occasional ""chirping"" from one of my smoke detectors and googled for smoke detector maintenance as I could not check out the problem myself due to my high 12-15' ceilings. Nisat Electric's Plano location popped up as a firm that installs and services smoke detectors. My units came with my house and are probably 25 years old. I was told that they should be replaced every 10 years. I was quoted $90 per unit with 10 year lithium batteries, or a total of $540 for my six units. Two men came the next day. One appeared to be an assistant or trainee, not a certified electrician. The six units were replaced within about an hour. Later, out of curiosity I checked Lowe's and determined that the retail cost of new units (one of which also detects carbon monoxide) with lithium batteries was about $126. That left a labor charge of over $400 for the one hour. Seems high to me. I should have done better due diligence.

I called Nisat for a quote for replacing an electric panel. They asked me to send over pictures of the panel and I did so, and they quoted me $2400. They came over and did the job quickly in 3 hours, but then charged me $2640 for the job after it was done, stating copper grounding rods cost the extra $240. To me, this is deception. If you quote someone $2400, then charge $2400. If I would have known it would have cost more, I would have went with a electrician recommended by a family friend. It's not my fault the electrician did not get enough information from me to give me an accurate quote. Stay away from shady companies like this who charge more than they quote.

Nick was able to show up the day after I called to deal with our wired smoke alarms. I was so grateful for the speed of the arrival as I didn't feel safe with non-functioning alarms. He finished the repairs quickly and professionally. I would definitely use this company again.

They were very professional and showed up in masks. They did a very good job and in a very timely manner, they replaced all of our fire alarm smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. They did a very clean job and very thorough job. This is a good company and reasonably priced. I really recommend them.

Nick and his co-worker were able to come to our home the same day we called to address problems were we having with our hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. They explained exactly what they were going to do. They were efficient and cleaned up after themselves before they left. You would never have known they were there. Nick also explained what caused our problem and what to do to prevent the problem from recurring. I will gladly refer friends, family, and neighbors who are in need of an honest and excellent electrician.

We installed pendant lights and needed someone to split 1 circuit into 2 circuits, needed a new breaker and wanted someone to take a look at a 3 way switch that was causing us some issues. Nick and staff did a great job - easy to communicate with, took extra care to make sure we didn't have to cut into the ceiling or walls, which was not an easy feat, and did a great job all around. Enjoyed working with Nisat...will use them again.

Nick and his asst were prompt, clean, and did the job I asked for; installing a grounding/bonding wire.
A lot of homes in Stonebridge built around 2004 don't have this. If you want to sell, you'll need this installed. Price was good and they picked up their trash.
I definitely would use them again.

I was having problems with a the fuse box in my house. There were some breakers that were damaged and they were causing power outages in my house. I remember calling Nisat Electric early Saturday morning. They came in a very reasonable amount of time. They were able to diagnose the problem and get it fixed in 2 hours. They were very efficient and thorough with the work they did. They may be a little bit expensive, but they are well worth it. I have not had any problems after the work they did. The technicians that came to my house were very courteous and professional, and I have no complaints about the service. If you live in the North Dallas or Plano area, I would highly recommend this company if you are having any electrical issues with your home.

Nisat does outstanding work! We recently had Nick install lights in two closets and ceiling outlet. He provided an honest assessment of the fixtures required and gave us a break on pricing so we could have the best solution. This is the second time we've used Nisat. In both instances Nick and his crew worked diligently and ensured the worksite is clean before leaving. We're grateful to have a go-to electrician!
