I was all set to get a Spa delivered, but had no contact with the electrician. As we all know, the winter season is short-lived here in Bakersfield, and I was ready to get to the tubbin! After looking on Yelp, my go-to for reliable referrals, I found Nickell Electric. This was no disappointment, the job was done lickety-split and to the specifications needed. Timely, communicative, down to earth, reasonable pricing, and job done right!
If you are in need of some electrical work, I cannot recommend Nickell Electric enough.

I contacted Chad late one Friday night with electrical issues throughout my house. He showed up promptly after 10 pm and had already been in contact with PG&E to check on any issues in the area. After trouble shooting the problem, he discovered that it was a PG & E issue within my panel. He went above and beyond and made sure PG & E was on their way before cleaning up and leaving the premises. He also requested that I notify him if there were any other issues after the repair. The meter on my panel was faulty and was replaced after midnight that night. I contacted Chad around 1 am and he answered the call. Thanks to him we didn't have to go through the weekend without A/C during a heatwave of well over 105 degrees. No one else would have been available until the following week.

I hired Chad for the Nema 14-50 installation. It was a breeze... I like how clean the installation was, the way I wanted it to be. Very precise, he knows what he's doing so there's no trial and error. The most affordable professional electrician you can hire in Bakersfield. I was quoted way over his price by other electricians. For safety reason, I'm glad I did not dare to try to install it myself. I already recommended him to my friends needing outlets for Tesla. Now I know who to call on my electrical problems.

I had this guy come and install a new timer for my pool he assured me he had experience in installing them. So he came to install the timer with his apprentice they installed but was not working at all and he was able to set timer correctly. I was not comfortable with his helper doing the job because he stated he couldn't do so he would have chad come and complete. when it was installed my pool light was tripping the gfi so he said my pool light need to be replaced so all the power to pool light was turned off to be safe. Also, Chad was not able to set timer so he had to hire another company to set timer. At this point I was not comfortable with how this was going since my pool light always worked so before and going to the expense to replacing my light I wanted a second opinion and called another company which I had to pay extra. It turned out there were missing wires and not connected correctly. I gave Nickell a chance to make it right and he didn't. Will never recommend this company to anyone. will be making a formal complaint
