Bait and Switchers. DO NOT RELY ON AN ON AN QUOTE FOR JOB THEY HAVEN""T SEEN! IN PERSON. I gave three electricians very explicit information to bid a job. Offered New Dawn opportunity to come make in person quote but they said they didn't need to. Two of three were very close but I picked New Dawn based on these reviews. I paid a $500 deposit and waited several weeks for the service and paid for someone ($200) to be at my house to meet them this morning. Technicians showed up and said they didn't have what was required to do project and ""project was out of scope of quote because it required conduit"". They were told up front verbally and in text exchanges conduit was required. In fact the text said ""Conduit Obviously!"".

Spoke to Kelly who was one of the owners who confirmed she researched and saw the text exchange and notes but said the person who gave the quote had made an incorrect assumption and that they would not honor the quote and they would have to give me a new quote. When I challenged that (nicely) she hung up on me.

Of the necessities in life an outstanding electrician is certainly one of the most important. New Dawn Electric is now our go to electrician for all our needs in Manatee and Sarasota counties. Julie in the office is an excellent communicator and kept us posted right up until our appointment time. Dean showed up early and worked expertly (in really cramped small spaces) to rewire our panel so that my family would be safe. I cannot say enough good about them - and I am sure the rest of their staff is equally outstanding. Call them & you will see!

If you want to get ripped off, this is the company for you. I hired them to diagnose and solve a problem with a GFCI outlet that keeps shutting off. They replaced the outlet (charging almost $60 just for the outlet itself, which can be bought at Home Depot for $10). The problem persisted. It took almost a month to come back. They said they're short of employees. I can see why nobody would want to work for this company. For another $150 they came back to the house to tell us their outlet was fine and told us to unplug everything that's on the same circuit. The GFCI still shuts off all the time. After paying over $500 for them to change an outlet we still have the same problem they were supposedly going to fix. They should look for work in the circus, because they're a bunch of clowns.

If you need an electrician, look no further. Dean and David were the hardest working guys I've ever seen. Due to complications out of their control they worked overtime to get the job done. After the delay even Allan the owner showed up to help out. From the beginning of the quote till the end if the job the communication was outstanding.

We would rate this company, as well as Dean who was the electrician for the service call for the job, at 10 star rating ! We were extremely pleased with everything related to this service call, from the time of scheduling the appointment through completion of the job. Dean did a great job tracing wires and connections. In addition he was extremely courteous and pleasant. Their fees were very fair and reasonable.
