i hv always been reluctant to write reviews on Yelp! don't ask. it's not to my liking. heck, i knew Jeremy S. when he was literally getting this website off the ground. good dude. my personal opinion, i felt he always seemed to encourage peeps to write reviews (Jeremy went to HBS w/ a buddy of mine back in 2003-04). i do like Yelp! its my default search when it comes to checking not just restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs etc., but almost all local businesses. even traveling it's been my go to in UK, EU, Asia and Australia. go Jeremy.

i digress. i needed to hv a small ceiling fan installed. so, yesterday i sent out the ""Quote"" option for a project on Yelp! and i got a few bids from electricians. Maynor Electric happened to be the one i chose.

Maynor is a solid dude. they gave me a great price for assembling and installing the fan. they showed up bright and early in their clean white Transit van. the guys quickly walked in lay down a large drop cloth and were done in approx. 30 mins.

so, if any of you need to get electric work done, i would encourage you : ) to send a message to Maynor. they communicate well. they are polite. they are professional. and they show up on time! not to mention they are quality electricians. side note: we all should keep supporting businesses operated by PoC.

I created an electrical project (installing a ceiling fan), on Yelp. Mynor Electric was the first to reply and said they could come by within the hour. They soon came by, evaluated placement, and quoted me their proposed job and price. I accepted their quoted price (which I felt was reasonable), and they proceeded on the spot. They kept things clean even though it was in my garage. BTW, this all was done on a Friday afternoon. It was great to see the fan safely installed by a licensed electrician and working soon after. I would definitely recommend these guys based on my experience and plan to contact them again next time I have an electrical project.

I had a couple of ceiling fans that I originally intended to DIY. However, once I realized that I needed some extra tools that would probably get little use, I decided to save my aching back and spend that money on the professionals instead - and I am very glad I did.

First off, as a customer who mostly reaches out online, I have had some really bad experiences with other companies failing to realize the importance of timely communication. In my experience, companies will often not give their online customers as much priority because I feel that they would rather speak with you over the phone instead of typing up a reply (most will not even give you a courtesy response). This was not the case with Mynor. Not only was he the first one to reply to my mass inquiry on Yelp, Mynor always responded promptly, often immediately, so I was not left waiting for an answer. If he didn't respond right away, I would always get a call or text when he frees up. To me, this shows that he respects his customer's time and that he indeed wants your business. In addition, Mynor was also punctual during our meeting time(s) (which I am admittedly a stickler for), and was greatly appreciated. Punctuality is an underrated human trait, especially in 2025.

Second, you can tell that Mynor and his crew really care about their work. They took the necessary precautions, making sure they not only protect themselves but also your property while they do their work. Most important, they are licensed professionals, ensuring that your project will not only be completed safely, but also to the highest standards. They even went the extra mile by offering to paint the area where the old fixtures used to be!

Lastly, his commitment to his customers extends to pricing as well by offering fair and competitive rates. I did my pricing research before reaching out to Mynor and he was pretty much right on the nose. It is great to see this level of customer service and competition without compromising the quality of their work. In the end, I had a really good experience with Mynor Electric and will definitely use them again for future needs.

Great experience. Mynor & his team is awesome. Very responsive & came on time with all necessary tools. Mynor do give solution for your electrical problems. I had 3 new outdoor outlets installed in my backyard! All wirings are covered by tubing for safety since its outdoor. I will definitely hire Mynor again..

I initially wanted to complete this project on my own, but I faced a dilemma when it came to the wiring aspect. Instead of brute forcing this issue I chose to look for a professional. Mynor is that professional. Not only did he assist me in the wiring aspect, but he was very thorough and professional. He went above and beyond when it came to the service that was requested. The overall value was fair, but the quality of the work is what makes it worth it. I will be going Mynor for any future electrical needs.
