Carlos is seriously the most meticulous, professional, and skilled handyman that I have ever had help me. We needed an over the range microwave installed and he set it up easily and quickly. He even called me before installing it to make sure I was happy with how it would look since I wasn't home. He was so thorough and thoughtful. I'll definitely be calling him again and sharing his info with my parents and my friends!

Had the opportunity to meet Carlos through my realtor, while we were conducting an personal inspection before the purchase of our home. The home we ended up buying is an older home in Hayward, and as you can imagine, everything seemed to have issues.

At first glance, Carlos was very unique as he was quick to spot things, but very solution oriented. He wasnt focused on gaining work, but was focused on our needs, current issues, and future issues that could be major headaches for us down the road.

We decided to hire Carlos because of his magnificent attention to detail, attentiveness, and overall experience with everything.

I have worked by the side of Carlos several times, and hired him to do other things around the house. He has delivered EVERYTIME! He even referred us to an awesome painter who was hella cheap, fast, and efficient.

Things he repaired for us are: Our roof, created down spouts, installed cameras, installed ceiling fans and track lights, tons of misc. electrical, and some plumbing. Did I mention he did everything for us?!? He also took time to help teach us about our home, so we could do things ourselves in the future!

Overall, I dont want to refer him, because he is too good, and I want to save him for myself. I totally trust Carlos with everything. He is extremely nice, an excellent interior designer, fast, affordable, reliable, and an excellent communicator. All the things I seek in everyone I team with.

I would give John Carlos more stars if possible. We had a unique project, repairing 22 fluorescent lights in my SNAP Fitness San Mateo. The lights were 20 feet up and were a hodgepodge of T-8 and T-12s as installed by the previous tenant. Since the gym is available for members 24/7, he had to work around members working out, even in the early hours of the morning, yes, between 11 pm and 4 am. John Carlos did a fantastic job of fixing what needed to be fixed (replacing ballasts) and we were able to replace many of the fluorescents with energy saving LEDs. He is now my go-to guy for anything that needs fixing.

I needed re-framing of my portico area and John Carlos and his framer did a great job. He asked me to give him a photo of exactly what I was envisioning for the final look, and I gave him some photos I found online. The end result is exactly what I asked for! John Carlos also worked through a weekend to help me get the project done on time. I happily recommend him and will definitely give him more projects in the future.

Update: After the repair, the dryer promptly failed again. I scheduled John to come out to check it out again (and had to pay for a second visit) and had the dryer repaired again. The dryer failed FOR A THIRD TIME after that (within one month).

Tried to get John to come out and actually fix the darn thing, and turns out, he couldn't find availability for me anymore. Ended up going with another repairman who correctly fixed it on the first try (and offers a 90 day warranty if the problem comes back up). I'm bummed out that it didn't work out John but it is what it is.

Update again: John reached out and was very apologetic and refunded my second visit. Overall, it had to do with miscommunication, which I do take responsibility for too. He is pleasant to deal with and an overall good guy - just that this repair didn't work out too well.

Wow! I highly recommend Carlos for any of your needs! My experience with Carlos was superb from beginning to end. I was overseas for business, and my tenant contacted me about a leaked fridge. The fridge was leaking everyday, and it leaked so bad that it would create a gigantic puddle in the kitchen. Even six large absorbent towels weren't enough to clean the mess. I was worried about the fridge and I was even more afraid that it would damage my flooring. I was overseas thousand of miles away, and I was in panic mood. I got a few online quotes, but doing things remotely is often tough because it's hard to know if you can trust the workmanship of the handyman. Because I was so far away, I reached out to my friends to see if they had any recommendations. And Carlos came with strong recommendations. I reached out to him to discuss the issue and get pricing quotes. He immediately understood my situation, made me feel comfortable, stayed in constant communication throughout the process, and his price was very reasonable. My tenants said that he was a true professional (was punctual, kind, and respectful) and his workmanship was excellent. I couldn't have been more pleased with his work and his professionalism. Now he's the only person I'll call if things need fixing. Seriously, if you go with Carlos, you will not be disappointed with the level of service you get and the high quality craftsmanship.

John has done many jobs for us from big to small. He is skilled at electrical and is smart and thorough. John has repaired chairs to a dining room set we were not ready to depart with. He also did a beautiful job putting up outdoor lights in preparation for summer parties. If you want quality work and competitive prices call John. I have tried others who's work don't compare. Save your time and money and go with John.
