Highly recommend! Johnny installed some down lights in our house and did some other general electrical. While he was here, he identified some issues with the wiring in our attic which presented a fire hazard. He took all the poorly installed stuff out and replaced it - and was spot on in terms of the amount of time and cost involved. This is a guy who takes a lot of pride in his work and will not do anything halfway - so important for an electrician. And he does a good job of explaining why things work like they do and how they should be done - even to the electrically inept like me.

I would give Johnny aka Mr. Goodvolt 10 stars if I could. After finding him highly recommended on both Yelp and Nextdoor, he quickly responded to my request for a quote to hang 12 pendants in an old tree in our backyard. Upon meeting Johnny, he showed such passion and enthusiasm for the project that I knew he would be an excellent choice (this project was the capstone of a backyard renovation and something I had been wanting to do for years). He also had very helpful suggestions regarding the job, such as replacing the accompanying bulbs with brighter, longer-lasting LED bulbs and wiring the tree to account for growth over time. His quote was transparent and fair.

This job was more intensive and difficult than we could have anticipated. Johnny spent hours climbing my tree (which hangs over a hillside) and strategizing with me to make sure the placement of the pendant lights was absolutely perfect. The installation was flawless and he took extra care to hide the wiring so that it can barely be seen. He treated our property like it was his own, and his overwhelmingly positive attitude made him a pleasure to work with. It is evident that this is a calling for Johnny rather than a job, a rare passion that is reflected in his top-notch workmanship.

Our friends couldn't stop raving about the lights, which will add a magical quality to our backyard for years to come... all thanks to Johnny!

All of the 5 star reviews are spot-on! Johnny Persinger is the real deal: honest, great at his job and extremely customer friendly. He instructed us the exact lights to buy for our backyard patio and to get them at Costco for the best price. He arrived to install the lights on time and did a terrific job quickly and efficiently at a very fair price (we had received several other estimates that were much higher). We're having Johnny back again to install new lighting in our garage. A real find is Mr. Goodvolt!

Johnny Persinger is the type of contractor that is all too rare now-a-days: honest, prompt and a master at his trade. He's been a electrician for a long time and he knows what he is doing.

In order to add solar panels to my home, we had to upgrade the old, inadequate electrical service. There were decades of patched together and tied in work that made the wall by our electrical service a confusing jumble of conduits and boxes. The solar company said that they could do the upgrade and then dropped the ball. The electricians that I had used in the past got everything ripped apart and then realized that - with the existing emergency generator hook up -- they were way over their heads. They put everything back and left. Enter Johnny. He spent a lot of his own time figuring out the best way to accomplish the job, researching different panels, working with Edison, meeting with a generator company and planning out the sequence of the work. When he discovered old, substandard electrical work that had been done, he was really pissed off. He's such a perfectionist that it really offends him when he sees sloppy or substandard work.

He did a great job upgrading our electrical system. Even the county inspector commented on how well done it was. Johnny is not the cheapest guy in town but he is a true professional (and you truly get what you pay for with Mr. Goodvolt). I recommend Johnny highly and will use him again in the future.

Really I'd say 2.5 stars.

Super fast coming over to give me an estimate, a major plus, but was REALLY expensive and not exactly what wanted. Also he spent a lot of time telling me how messy my attic crawlspace was with the blown-in insulation. When it was a possibility that I'd give him the job he was going to cancel on someone else to do my work. I didn't use him but didn't like that kind of attitude. If he would be so quick to cancel someone else's work to do mine, he'd be just as likely to last minute cancel my work to do someone else's.

After I discussed his pricing with my husband I called him to ask him about other options that were potentially more affordable for me and I felt like he was kind of a jerk and he made it super clear that he didn't want my business by being difficult and not giving me a straight answer and saying he'd have to do it hourly to make sure he covered himself on costs.

I loved working with Johnny. He did a great job at my house doing outdoor lighting! He has a great, easy going temperament and he did a fantastic job to boot. He was there when he said he would be there and I'd recommend him to anyone!

Johnny IS Mr. Goodvolt! I got stuck when my electrician bailed on me at the last minute. Johnny came on the same day and installed a new bath exhaust fan just in time, as the painters were coming the next morning. It was a tricky job, but he McGyver-ed it brilliantly and won my trust with his great attitude and reasonable price. Since then, I've hired him for two other jobs, including installing several new overhead lights and fixing a faulty dusk til dawn sensor on my outdoor lights. He's friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy...and now Mr. Goodvolt is my go-to-guy for all things electrical.

Mr. Goodvolt, Johnny, just completed two days of work at our house. He installed motion detectors and replaced all of the garden lighting. He did what he said he would do within the timeframe that he promised at the dollar amount that he had quoted. He is a total pleasure to work with and has unbridled enthusiasm for what he does. In fact, he had fabulous ideas on how our garden lighting could be changed to really give it a ""pop""!
