Having spent over two decades in the corporate arena, I grew disillusioned with the politics and their effects on individuals, myself included. By treating people as they deserve, taking pride in your craft, and providing excellent service, life is less complicated and much more satisfying. Sixty-five percent of my residential work is generated through recommendations from existing clients who refer Mr. Fix-It™ to their friends or colleagues. My customers receive quick satisfaction once the work is finished, and I no longer contend with extended ROI or hefty capital expenses. We don’t request payment for labor until the customer is satisfied with the outcome.

Mr. Fix-It™ has been ""fixin"" things for around 25 years. I constructed decks, patios, and similar projects for friends and their acquaintances, often receiving payment in various forms. I frequently received tools as payment; once, I was even given a video camera for building a deck. I usually completed these tasks on weekends or after my regular job. About 13 years ago, after getting a reciprocating saw for building a deck at a friend's house, my wife pulled me aside and said, ""Listen up, Mr. Fix-It, your next free job is building a patio cover for me, and your rates are going to change."" Thus, Mr. Fix-It™ was established.
