After spending 22 years in the corporate sector, I became tired of the politics and their impact on people's lives, including my own. By treating people as they deserve, taking pride in your craft, and providing excellent service, life is less complicated and much more satisfying. Sixty-five percent of my residential work is generated through recommendations from existing clients who refer Mr. Fix-It™ to their friends or colleagues. My clients experience immediate satisfaction upon completion of the job, and I no longer deal with lengthy return on investments or large capital expenditures. We don’t request payment for labor until the customer is satisfied with the outcome.

Mr. Fix-It™ has been repairing and improving for nearly 25 years. I built decks, patios, and other projects for friends and their friends, usually compensated in different ways. Most times, I was paid with tools; on one occasion, I was given a video camera for constructing a deck. I usually completed these tasks on weekends or after my regular job. Thirteen years ago, after I received a reciprocating saw for constructing a deck at a friend's home, my wife grabbed me and said, ""Listen, Mr. Fix-It, your next free job is to build a patio cover for me, and your prices will be changing."" And that’s when Mr. Fix-It™ was born.
