Edward rocks. My husband contacted him through Yelp to get an estimate for running some electrical in our kitchen so we could install a garbage disposal. We figured we would have to get him to do the electrical, then pay a plumber to install the disposal. When he found out what we were asking for, he offered to do both, all in one visit.

His communications were prompt and he was easy to work with. When he came for the site visit, it turned out there were a few extra things he would need to do that he didn't know about when he gave us the initial quote. He explained the differences, told us exactly what work he needed to do, and gave us options.

We opted to have him come back and do the job the next day. He was knowledgeable, took the time to explain things to me and show me how things worked, and he was really patient with my very curious (cough cough annoying cough) dog. The job took him an hour less than he thought it would, and the work appears neat, purposeful, and clean. He took the time to ""stress test"" his work and gave me a heads up about a slow drain issue.

Totally pleased with his work and his rates. I look forward to working with him in the future.

I highly recommend Edward, ""Mr. Fix It,"" for your handyman needs. He did a number of projects for me, including: moving a light switch box, fixing broken wiring on outdoor lights, installing new light fixtures, installing a cat door, installing a ceiling fan and fixing several other broken things around the house. He is fastidious and has a great eye for how things should look. I found that to be particularly helpful as other people I'd consulted about installing additional lighting in my kitchen would say things like, ""I'll install however many lights you want, wherever you want them."" The problem is, that I have no clue how many lights are required to light a particular area. Edward knows. It's also just so nice to find a handyman who shows up when he says he will and completely cleans up after he's finished. He also does everything by the book in terms of knowing what the building code and state and local regulations require, and complying with them. Again, with other people, I'd ask questions about what the code required, and would get unsatisfactory answers. If you want someone to do a thorough, safe and aesthetically-pleasing job on projects, Edwards is your guy.

Mr. Fix it (Ed) installed recessed lighting in our kitchen! He did a GREAT job! Ed removed the old ugly box lighting, installed the pod lighting, cleaned up the mess and took the old stuff away. Very professional and nice! We will be using him again in the future.
