Fast reliable service from friedly knowledgeable servicemen.
Mr. Electric of Southwest Florida does not follow COVID safety protocols, despite posting a listing of safety protocols on their website. Upon arrival, technician was not wearing a mask. When asked ""Do you have a mask""?, he stated ""No one told me I had to bring a mask"". With this shocking response, I asked ""Do you watch the news?"" He clapped his hands and responded ""Ok, we'll have to reschedule"". I immediately called the person who had scheduled the appointment and of course received voicemail. I indicated we have a problem, and please call me. The call was never returned. Upon receiving voicemail, I also called the national number listed on the website and reported the experience. I was assured this was very important, and someone would contact me asap. On the next business day, I received an email advertisement from Mr. Electric, which states ""At Mr. Electric, we believe treating you and your home with respect is just as important as doing the best electrical work"". I called the national number again and inquired as to why I received this email, as no one nationally or locally had responded to my earlier calls. I set up another appointment, as the service provided by the company is needed. I indicated that the technician must bring and wear a mask. There again has been no follow up and the appointment request has been disregarded. There is a cancer patient in this home, and we must work with a company which follows COVID safety protocols. It is unbelievable and unheard of that this company blatantly will not provide service if they are requested to wear a mask! This is the only service provider which has reacted in this manner throughout the entire pandemic. Needless to say, this is not a display of customer respect.
Had Mr. Electric separate the porch light from the garage light in addition to two other items to be done. The electrician did that but inadvertently disconnected the wire to the electric hurricane shutter. When the Lee County Inspector tried to close the shutter, it didn't. He said to call the shutter company to fix. The shutter company found the error and fixed it and charged $100. I called and talked to John at Mr. Electric, sent him the invoice from the shutter company. He said the owners refused to reimburse me because I didn't call them first. Not sure how I was supposed to know the error was the fault of Mr. Electric when the Lee County Inspector didn't recognize it either and said to call the shutter company. Guess Mr. Electric needed the $100 more than this retiree did after already paying $300 for the other work done.
I had a outlet that kept shorting out ...Jon came over and fixed the problem..He was very kind and courteous...He aslo gave me some energy saving tips....Highly recommend their service
I recently moved into a new house and need some electrical work done. Mr. Electric had been recommended by a number of my clients so I gave them a call. The technician, John, arrived early in the time I was quoted and was professional and courteous. He reviewed the work I was looking to have done and put a plan together to get to work. He did an amazing job running lines both low voltage and power in my attic. He also took care of all of my ceiling fans, LED recessed lighting retrofits and various outlets and a whole house surge protector. The work was done professional, efficiently and quickly. I had them come back for some more work a couple weeks later and got the same service, so I felt they deserved a review.
We had just moved to the area and had quite a list of items we needed done. We called upon Mr Electric of SWFL twice for service calls. Both times the gentleman were prompt, professional and personable. Their expertise and helpful suggestions were great and their prices fair. This is our new ""go to"" electrician!
Had 2 ceiling fans that the remote controlled the fan but not the light kit. Called Mr electric on Tues and they said an electrician would be out between 8 and 12 on Wed and that they would send me an email to let me know if it would be between 8-10 or 10-12. On Wed at 12:00 , having received no email or electrian I called them and was told that there was no info on service for me or my address. Rescheduled for Friday and was told the electrician would be there by 11:00 Needless to say when I called at 12:15 I was told that there was a service order, but that the technitian had not taken in that morning. At 1:30 the tech finally arrived. Nice guy but after an hour and he had bypassed the remote transmitter and directyly wired the lights and fan, fan still worked but lights did not. I was informed that the light was broken (no kidding) and that my option was to buy new ceiling fans. Since this company is the prime installer for Lowes Cape Coral I was suspicious. Paid the $90 for the service call and sat down at the computer to do some research. I figured there must be some circuit that was preventing current from reaching the lights. An hour later it was obvious that my problem was a $5 wattage limiter installed in each fan that had a history of failure. Called Harbor Breeze technical department and they told me I was right and that they would ship me out 2 new limiters free of charge. Now I just have to find someone to install them for me when they come in and reinstall my transmitter for the remote.
