DO NOT USE MR. ELECTRIC! DO NOT EVER RECOMMEND MR. ELECTRIC! Terrible customer service! Rick Ingram their electrician refused to install a brand new $900 ceiling fan in a new construction home. He did not even look at the dimensions or specs of the fan or my ceiling. Extremely unprofessional! I waited two weeks just to get an estimate and he was in my home for less than five minutes and refused to do the work.
Scott L.Best experience I have ever had with an electrician. Email and text confirmation at the time I set up the appointment. Email and text with a picture, cell phone and description of the electrician. Called when he was 15 ministers out. Showed up on time and made recommendations as if this was his house, not just to see more service. Kudos to Juan and the team. I will be a long term customer now!
Would give them a lower than 1 star review but that is as low as you can give. They originally did some electrical work for me when we built our house, the guys took two days and did not have all the parts but we were patient and it seemed they did good work. Fast forward a year and call them back, two delays and reschedules to make appointment for install of some lights and 30 minutes after they are supposed show up (3 week appointment wait) they call and say they cannot make it! And the ""new owner"" does not want to reschedule because they are to busy??? Wow. Next I have another electrician come out and point out where the original work they did was not up to code and faulty (state licensing association being notified and code enforcement). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they are cheapo guys that give you a price for one product and cut corners to save a few bucks. Their field technicians don't know what they are doing - beware! 3 other electricians I spoke with said they make a good living going behind this company to clean up messes they make! BEWARE!
Daniel O.So glad I called another electrician!
To start, they are quick to respond which is a net positive, but beyond that everything is a sham. I needed to replace 2 outdoor outlets for the Christmas season. First the lead guy seemed to be professional and knowledgeable, he also stated outright that the company wouldn't try to upsell me at all.
Proceeds to quote me nearly $600 to replace the outlets and points out that the outdoor breaker box was installed incorrectly and was on its way out, then quotes me a further $3,700 to completely replace that.
I called one of my buddies who knows electric work and mentioned that it was a rip off. Sure enough I dismiss the Mr. Electric guys and call another company.
The other company mentioned that they outdoor breaker box was in good shape and only needed some minor work. They did that and replaced the outlets for $250, wow that's what you call an honest company.
If you are going to hand customers a card that on the back mentions integrity and honesty, you may want to get the message across to your employees first.
Mr. Electric is officially on my never to call list.
Alex S.Rip off!
Called with issues my a few outlets around the house. They came and did a diagnostic (charging ~$124). They then told me to fix the problem would be a minimum of ~450$, and thet just included changing a single gfci outlet (retail at home depot about 8$ and would require 15min of work, whish is essentially charging about $1800/hr). They then tried to sell me a package deal saying it would be a deal of I did everything all at once ($1200 approx). I said no thanks.
Called another company who came out the next day and fixed my outlet for 149$, which is more in line with what an electrician charges for an outlet change.
Beyond angry and disgusted with the pricing practices of this company. In addition, the technician diagnosed the problem I correctly (and wanted to charge over 450$ to fix it)
Requested a bid for hanging a chandelier. Bid was over $800. Laughed and called another electrician who was able to hang the chandelier for $100.
Kyle C.Super nice guy, took his time and made sure everything was done right. Most importantly he found the most cost efficient way to get the job done. I'd recommended him for your electric jobs and projects.
Pricey, but very fast response and repair times. Very friendly customer service.
3 stars because:
° The crew left the electrical wire that was ripped down from the main power line wrapped in the tree. Am I supposed to take that down? Seems dangerous.
° The old electrical housing materials and wires were cut off and thrown on the deck and left for me to discard.
$6k is a lot of money to forfeit to an electrical company, I would imagine that covered the cost of cleanup.
A wire shorts in my breaker box. Called them. The came out right away for a $150 service call. Okay. I'll pay that. Not crazy about it but... The guy took one look at the box and shook his head. Told me the outside box needed to be rewires. The looked at the inside box and told me that same thing. Final estimate, over $12,000. I turned off the breakers under the meter and fixed the short myself. $12,000 my left n_t!
Janet L.Mr. Electric came to my house to offer a bid for installing a light. We never got to the bid, as the staff person offered over $1,000 of other work he determined needed to be done, without even starting to look at the work that I requested. He asserted my smoke alarms are 12 years old, and the house isn't even 9 years old. He also assumed everything was out of code and seemed to try to scare me into thinking I needed immediate work or my house would burn down. And we never got to the bid. We never will get to the bid. I told him to leave. They clearly want people to make decisions based on fear and to have work done above and beyond what is actually requested. Go elsewhere.
