When I described my rudimentory breaker box need through Yelp to request a quote, I received a response that they could do the work. When I called, the kid who answered the phone said they don't do that kind of work. Apparently, the right hand isn't talking to the left. Which does not bode well for their quality of work.

I was not at all happy with the service from Mr. Electric, I had two technicians come out on separate days to give me a quote... the first technician, quotes 808.00 for a dedicated circuit to install a fireplace... I requested a quote for an outlet to be installed and the technician gave me a quote for 1100.00 to install one outlet.... the national average for outlet installation is 120-400.00.
DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY for quote or work! They are price gouging for simple task! I brought this info up to the service manager , and he then tried to ask if I wanted to pay 808.00 for the pug and not 1100.00 as he was trying 'give me a discount'. If anyone reading this has ever needed electrical help... a dedicated switch in the breaker box is a more complex and expensive task than installing an outlet. Not even the service manager could tell me why I got such a ridiculously expensive quote ! Do your research and find a company that won't rob you!!!!!!

I appreciated they wore mask. Also wore shoe botties. I highly recommend them. Very professional and thorough. Polite and affordable. Definitely use them again.

Great experience! Zack was the best! He was knowledgeable, friendly and even got the work done when it was raining. We are new to Austin and I'm so glad I called Mr. Electric. The entire experience from the first call to running the payment was easy and pleasant. Not to mention they do great work. We had an outside ceiling fan installed and a new outlet for a new outdoor water fountain. I highly recommend Mr. Electric to all!

Look at the pictures I'm sharing and tell me how hard this job would be. Fuse box is exposed and has room, outlet is going 4 inches away from the box.
Just got an quote that was insane. $829.83 for an exterior outlet right next to a fuse box..$600 more than what a neighbor paid for the exact same service from a different company.
Retail on parts: the best quality parts are $90, for lowest quality parts $37 for the entire job when not buying in bulk. The first quote I got was was $289.00 for the same job, I always get two quotes and this is why.
Please inspect my images and judge for yourself before having this company out.

Zack from Mr Electric is the most fantastic electrician I've had the pleasure of working with in many years. Not the cheapest in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Zack was extremely professional, very knowledgable, and he spent over 5 hours installing a Tesla electric car charger at my house in 100 degrees Texas summer weather. Very clean work and very thoughtful. Ask for Zack if you need any work done. Thanks Zack!

I am NOT happy with the way things turned out. :( If I could give a negative star rating I would Just read this..
Recently I had one of my brick columns out front repaired after a car ran it over. * I ended up having the columns on both sides rebuilt so the brick would match.. The light on one of the columns was not working so I called Mr Electric. I had an electrician from Mr Electric come out to fix it. I was charged $270 for the repair (or so I thought).. a Few days later i noticed the light was not working on that side again and I just assumed it was just the bulb. After a few weeks later I finally got around to going out and replacing the bulb and discovered it still did not work!
I tried another bulb and discovered that there is no power to the socket.
on 7-9-20 I called to get them to come out to repair it and get it working again and was informed that the $270 I was charged was just for the diagnosis and that they wanted even more money to repair it!
When the electrician initially came out (to fix the light) he offered to go over my house for a ""free inspection""
Later I was given a list of things to repair and the total cost would be $7937.00! (However, if I paid an extra $100.. I could get their "" three year Advantage Plan"" which would give me a discount and bring the price down to $6856 What a scam! Bottom line is, I would not recommend this company as it seems they are charging ridiculous rates for minor repairs.. Here is a list of charges he wanted for repairs for various things he found..
This is a list I was given by Zack the electrician ( I have the copy of it if anyone wants to see it)
Post Light Corrections (this is to fix the original bad light LOL) $1185.00
Additional ""services"" he recommended Smoke alarms repair $616.00
GFCI (wall plug replacement) $492.00
Spa Circuit $2669.00 ( it works fine and has never had any problems)
System ground $690.00 This is to drive a pole into the ground near the fuse box (when there is already one there)
Surge protection $529.00 (whatever that means)
Intersystem bonding $742.00 Whatever that is?
Panel Tune up and breaker corrections $852.00 (This is to go over the breakers and check the breaker box LOL
In use covers $162.00
Altogether this was $7937.00 for stuff he said I would need to make the house right
*I have been living in this home for over 8 years and have never had any problems with any other issues he wanted to charge me for.
In the end I never got my damn light working. After I talked to them again I was informed today that they want another $1185.00 to actually fix the problem. So I guess I just paid $270 for them to come out and tell me what is wrong with it and give me a ridiculously expensive ""free estimate..
Absolutely ridiculous Buyer beware!

Very great company. I contacted them and they were at my house within days. It turns out my issue was just a tripped GFI outlet (embarrassing) but the technician was very nice and professional. I will recommend and use them for future electric issues.

I don't understand why there are not more 5 star reviews for this service. I don't normally take time to write reviews but Aaron from Mr. Electric Round Rock deserves praise! After consulting three electricians and spending hundreds of dollars, no one could locate our burnt wire. We were told by the third electrician to get ready for cutting the wall as a last resort. Then Aaron showed up the next day. I was not too hopeful at first but he was knowledgeable, patient, and an excellent trouble shooter. He went above and beyond to solve the problem for us without taking down the wall! What a God-sent! I can't thank him enough. I highly recommend Aaron from Mr. Electric, especially if you have a challenging electrical issue.

I scheduled a appointment for a quote and the company cancelled as they were tied up with another job. Very unprofessional and did not value my time. Needless to say, I will not be giving my business to a company that does not value this important aspect.
