We've had an issue with my electrical panel causing different areas of our home to lose power causing lights to flicker and appliances to surge and sometimes lose power. Thankfully we have SMUD Home Power insurance. I received a call from Victor with Mr. Electric confirming our work order with SMUD and he scheduled an appointment for a technician to come to our home. Kevin the technician arrived within the time frame Victor told me. He was very pleasant and professional as I walked him through our home explaining to him the experiences we were having. He inspected our panel and showed me what could be causing the problems.
He also took the time to explain how the particular panel we had operated and gave us different options on how to correct the issues. We took a few days to decide how we were going to handle the problem and in those few days I turned to YouTube just to get a bit more information about my particular panel. The information Kevin provided us was pretty much dead on with all the YouTube videos I watched about our panel. So we decided to give Mr. Electric a call back to talk about replacing our old panel. Upon speaking with Victor again he set up an appointment and told me it would be the following week about the middle of the week, that was on a Thursday. To my surprise he contacted me on Friday saying they could come out Monday morning, we were thrilled considering our home was acting like the house in the movie Poltergeist!
Come Monday morning bright and early, Kevin and Oleg arrived even BEFORE the SMUD technician. Oleg was also pleasant and professional and I could tell they worked together often because they worked well together. They had good stories to tell as they worked and never made me feel like I was pestering them with all my questions. They had a lot of knowledge between the two of them!
We were expecting to be without power much longer than it took them to complete the job. They were very thorough and cleaned up their work area nicely. We were very pleased with their work and even afterwards Kevin was gracious enough to provide us with information on inquiries we had about the panel and future upgrades, we learned a lot! To say the least we were very pleased with the service and friendliness from all the staff we encountered from Mr. Electric! Special thanks to Victor for making it happen so quickly, and to Kevin and Oleg, you guys rock!

I was assigned Mr. Electric by SMUD home power service that I have. I needed new receptacles and a light switch. I was very happy with the service provided by Oleg the electrician, he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I later had him come and replace my hallway light. Because of the good service received I will have him come and install new lights in my living room.

The service I had was to replace the ballast on my light in the garage. Oleg the technician was early, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They offer a safety check inspection (which I did not know) of your electrical panel and go over the results they find. He was amazing and I appreciate his expertise. He also informed me that Smud has a Home Power Program which I was not aware of. I appreciate him trying to save me money. The cost for service was fair. I will definitely use them again. I called SMUD and they referred
Kevin from Mr. Electric, to come to my house because I was have A/C issues due to the Circuit Breaker. I explained my concerns  and  he checked the breaker, everything was good. Then he went above and beyond and found an unconnected pipeline to the a/c unit,  he also found the disconnect box that sends/recieves from  Circuit breaker. Which he opened up and the wires were worn entangled, burnt, he cut and put a caps on the wires. Afterwards i went in the house and switched on the air conditioning came back out, it didnt come on yet, so  he went  to the unit and was about to look inside to see what was going on, The fan on the unit came on,  it was like music to my ears. For years I been having a/c issues, every year, last year it the condenser or compressor it was replaced. Then this. Kevin he saved my day. He did an outstanding job and did not hesitate to go above and beyond. Because the SMUD customer service said they didnt do HVAC only electrical issues. Thank you so much Kevin for your outstanding services. I appreciate you.

Giving 5 stars to Kevin!
This company was assigned to me by SMUD. I called SMUD for a power outage in 2 bedrooms late Friday afternoon. The SMUD gave me Mr. Electric's number to call and told me they were open on Saturdays, however I immediately called them after hanging up with SMUD but reached their live answering service. No one called me on Saturday so I called them first thing this morning (Monday). This time I reached the actual office and the young lady who answered was very kind. She found my order, set an appt for this afternoon with Kevin. He arrived within the window given. He was very personable, thorough, and answered all my questions. He found the problem, fixed it and went about his day. Thank you for your service Kevin!!

Jack helped us out massively with flickering power in the home. It all started when we bought vibrating equipment, suddenly it appeared that the lights were flickering in and off. We were so impressed with Oleg and the patience and expertise he showed in addressing and solving three separate electric issues at our home. (We'd let things build up, I guess, before calling SMUD.) Oleg was methodical as he expertly solved each of our electric issues. Our third issue was complex and time consuming, and the work Mr. Electric did was particularly impressive.
