Jack helped us out massively with flickering power in the home. It all started when we bought vibrating equipment, suddenly it appeared that the lights were flickering in and off. We have been without a hall light for several months. I did the normal things, replaced the light and the switches, then called for help. The first company said we would have to reschedule because the electrician. Needed help tracing out the line. That company decided we were not worth their time.

Made an appointment with Mr Electric. Kevin called to see if he could come early. In just a few minutes, he diagnosed and fixed the problem.

Mr. Electric came to our house a few days ago as representatives of SMUD's home-service plan. We were so impressed with Oleg and the patience and expertise he showed in addressing and solving three separate electric issues at our home. (We'd let things build up, I guess, before calling SMUD.) Oleg was methodical as he expertly solved each of our electric issues. Our third issue was complex and time consuming, and the work Mr. Electric did was particularly impressive. We will happily and confidently work with this company again!

Disappointed- was referred to them by SMUD via the HomePower service for an electrical repair. Called on a Monday, no contact from them until mid Wednesday. Returned a call 20 mins to them after receiving and voicemail and had to leave a message via answering service. 24 hour after, still no call. Having a faulty power outlets are not exactly something I want to worry about for four days. Had to get a second referral from SMUD. If I can't trust a company to contact me in a timely manner then how can I rely on your electrical services and expertise?

Update: Just called company after business owner post and made sure my appt was canceled. Spoke with Janice. Asked if there was a notation that I spoke with the answering service and was told there was nothing.

Mr. Electric was very quick to respond to my service requests, accommodating with my schedule, and respectful of the the time window in which I was waiting for them to come by to inspect my electrical issues. They fixed it very quickly and we're very professional. I do not know the exact cost as they are approved by SMUD home electrical plan that I have, so they send the charges for repair to SMUD.
I would definitely recommend Mr. Electric to anyone who is need of Electrical repair.

Let's start with the positive they did so up. That's pretty much it

I was having an issue with my fridge tripping my GFCI. We brought a new fridge and it was tripping the plug. They came out and did nothing. No inspection on my outlets, didn't even look at my panel box. The tech seemed like he didn't want to be there. I told him what was going and they suggested we also run a dedicated 20 amp circuit to the refrigerator. How can you just determine that by me explaining what is going on and not inspecting anything. I mean he didn't even have any tools with him.

They sent me a quote to run it in the attic. I call the office and asked if I could get a quote to run the line on the exterior of the home. Owner called and let me know once he talks to his tech they will give me a quote.

About an hour later I was outside, I see there van back. Tech didn't even come over to me to talk, I had to go to him to ask what he was doing back here. I was expecting a call/email for the exterior quote. He didn't say much and then just drove off. A quote was emailed to me.

When me and my wife thought more about it, the kitchen had been remodeled and where the original fridge was it did have a dedicated circuit. But the homeowners we bought it from tied it into a GFCI circuit after the remodel.

We did eventually repair the outlets and now the fridge works fine.

Maybe this is was a one off due to the tech just having a bad day. But first impressions are important. Not sure if I need any electrical help in the future I would even reach out to them.

Response to owner comment. I was offer the check list as he was walking out the door. It wasn't his first priority to even offer it to me. I'm sure he forgot and last minute offered it. Laughable.

I received a phone call from the owner. I find it interesting that he claims that I made multiple comments about the ballpark figure being too high. I was never given a final quote. I was told on the phone that he needed to talk to the technician to finalize the quote and the technician would be calling me. I also called the next day saying I wanted the quote and had not heard from the technician. I wanted to understand what was included and why the ballpark figure was so high. Don't make excuses for not following through. It worked out for me because after I didn't get a response from Mr. Electric, I was able to have an electrician come out, go buy the parts, and complete the job in 2 hours. I wasted a week and a half waiting for Mr. Electric to give me a quote which I never received.
