I called their office to get an electrician to look at my circuit breaker since the whole house doesn't have any power. Unfortunately they don't have any availability since it's the weekend. But the lady I talked to helped me troubleshoot the issue. She walked me through the troubleshooting steps and we fixed the issue in less than 5 minutes.

I only read the review from Wesley D. His review was almost like mine. I have been on the SMUD plan for 15 years & REALLY needed some intense electrical help. SMUD sent Mr Electric & I got Matt. I first talked to Mike. I needed the light replaced overhead in my kitchen. I needed all my switches in my house replaced & some outlets, too. Matt was polite, courteous & vastly knowledgeable about what he was doing. He had been in my house twice. This company is professional & when I asked for Matt again they sent him out. We have the SMUD Power Program, and this is our second time needing service. From the scheduling of the job to the work van leaving our property. Everything went exactly as committed by (Mike) @ Mr Electric. Service technician (Dalton) was totally knowledgeable in trouble shooting, corrective action, and having parts required onsite, fulfilling repairs. A total professional in all areas of our interaction. I Highly recommend this company. If you have SMUD Power Program, I suggest you specifically ask for Mr. Electric, the other company that was sent out on our first service call Late/Lack Of Needed Parts/Non Professional Made him leave my house, and reported them to SMUD!
Plan on using Mr. Electric on all our electrical projects!

We had an appointment set up for 8:30 Monday morning. We weren't sure if this was a window time, so by 10 am we called to see when they were coming. They informed us that they had written our phone number down wrong and someone had already come by at 9 and knocked but no one was home and no cars were in the drive way. Totally a lie, we've been here waiting all morning. Bad company......

I've been having electrical problems severe enough to get a professional electrician involved. I was working with a company that diagnosed that I needed to replace the electrical panel but could not for a couple of weeks; this is after a contractor and his electrician charged me to drive in a new ground rod because they thought that my house ground was faulty. I wanted to move forward on the panel replacement as soon as possible so I looked for a different company to do the work. How do you find a solid, honest company to do my electrical work? I could use yelp or.... call my Air Conditioning and Cooling guys that I trust implicitly (that's a different review and great story) and see who'd they recommend (Thanks Golden Aire!). They recommended Mr. Electric. They came out that night to see if there was any danger to the house. Found the following: Ground rod wasn't properly attached to the ground rod the contractor had put in. Panel did NOT need to be replaced; only the neutral strap had to be tightened down, a new lug had to be installed, proper ground wire to the ground rod installed properly, and all connections checked and tightened as needed. I spent several hundred rather than several thousand dollars to get the appropriate repairs. They could have easily went with the panel replacement but didn't because they were honest about what work was really needed. I'm grateful for their honesty and professionalism. As I need electrical work in the future (new lines and circuits) they will be the ones I call upon.
