I never expected to have direct evidence of attempted FRAUD from a company, but I do now.

These folks were referred to us by a Handyman service, so we thought they'd be a reasonable option for a blown outlet (caused by use of space heaters).
Since there was still power to lighting in the room, but multiple outlets were out, it should have been a straight forward search for blown wiring.

Instead, their guy looks at my son and sees someone unknowledgable and heads for the Panel and spins a story of supposed UL incompatiblity of breakers w/ the Murray BR box. He wrote this up in an estimate and made it sound good... $500 to fix the immediate problem PLUS ""an OLD panel needs everything replaced""... just $1900! My son had no idea.

After he reached me and I discussed w/ my electrician brother-in-law and my Contractor who had done a basement remodel in that home, the scam was quite clear. Such blanket incompatibility isn't possible or even likely; And in particular, there could be no such problems since the recent remodel included an electrician wiring the entire basement and a city inspector review of the box.

When I called the company, the supervisor first tried to cover for the guy, then finally agreed to send someone else to just 'fix the problem'. Since it was a rental unit and I didn't have time, I said 'ok'.

This time, they still tried to charge $526 for 80 minutes of time it took. Again, I know that hourly rates are not above $125... and a phone call gets the Supervisor to immediately agree to cut the rate in half. (Which is still too much, but at least the work is done). The Owner, of course, is unreachable.

Maybe it could be just this particular guy, but he was defended by the Supervisor and they followed up by still trying to overcharge. That speaks to practices that are accepted and encouraged by the owner.

Completely untrustworthy. The type of company that we all are afraid to come visit; right up there w/ Mechanics and Car Salesmen.

Very poor customer service! I never received any calls from them but because I did not reply to a TEXT message, they canceled my service call. I only found out it was canceled because I called them inquiring where the technician is.

So now I have to start this process all over with a DIFFERENT company and risk dying in an electrical fire in the meantime. Water and electricity do not mix but they obviously do not care!

In the midst of a home renovation, we discovered that we needed to urgently replace our electrical box. Within 24 hours of requesting a quote (late on a Friday) we had an electrician scheduled to come out on Monday.

David Day was our electrician. He came ahead of schedule (and reached out proactively to make sure that time was okay with us) and worked with us to understand our system's short comings/ areas that weren't up to code. He clearly explained what we needed to do to and gave us a fair price to do it.

We agreed he would come back the next day for the service. He texted us when he left his house and was very communicative the entire way over so that we knew what to expect. He did the work extremely efficiently and sent over before/ after pictures. The difference is shocking- his work was so clean and impressive. He also implemented a grounding system for us and went above and beyond to make sure all of our appliances, plumbing, etc are protected.

If we ever need electrical work done again, we'll definitely reach out to David/ Mr. Electric. Highly reputable service.

My garbage disposal did not turn on , there was no issue with the sinkerator.
Mr Electric service was very efficient, & quick . The technician knew the exact problem & fixed it. He replaced the circuit breaker for the kitchen disposer& it's working fine.

Full Disclosure: i didn't let them do the work, but they did charge me $50 for a estimate that was supposed to have the fee wave. They're apart of Mr. Rooter and these companies place sales quotas on their technicians to make a $1000 a day.

The technician basically tried to scare me to pay almost $900 which was the discounted price after his initial $1500 estimate for a simple job that ultimately I got done for less than $350.

Ignore their responsive unless you need someone that day in a pinch.

An electrician came to our home for a (paid) assessment for some electrical work we are needing. While he showed up on time, this visit was well over a month ago, and we cannot get them to send us the promised quote despite follow-up calls and e-mails trying to obtain it. We essentially wasted the money on the assessment simply because we cannot get the actual quote for requested work. Would not recommend this business. There are plenty of other quality electricians with follow through.

Just called Mr. Electric & asked if they install the Ring device. The lady who answered the phone said she wasn't sure what that meant? Mmkay. My search continues even though their website says they install Ring devices.

We needed a ceiling fan installed but our Electrician, Jordon, found some switches in our box that could go bad eventually. He cleaned up the box and even put in a whole house surge protector. He is a professional that looks out for the best interest of his clients. I will always use Mr Electric for my electrical needs.

They've done 2 jobs for me. Although their prices are a little in the high side IMHO, their service has been responsive and their techs very efficient.

Tried to schedule service for today because we had an emergency. After asking a few basic questions and trying to sort a time for them to come, the answering woman refused to schedule service and literally hung up on me, super bizarre. Sounds like they are not the professionals we are looking for.
